Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About
Escape Simulator 2 is the sequel to the best-selling escape room game. With immersive new environments, deeper puzzles, and innovative builder tools, it’s the ultimate first person escape room experience.

Explore new locations crafted with the help of escape room experts and legendary community builders. Each room pack contains four rooms filled with intricate puzzles and hidden mysteries:
Dracula’s Castle: Step into the shadowy fortress, uncover its secrets, and free the town from a dark curse.
Starship EOS: An exploration vessel is stranded after a collision, forcing you to retrieve an energy source from a mysterious dark sphere.
The Cursed Treasure: Follow a cryptic map to a pirate island, overcome treacherous trials, and claim the ancient treasure.
With more content coming soon after the release!

The game is designed for both solo play and multiplayer with friends. Up to 8 players can join together online, with built-in voice and text chat for easy puzzle-solving communication.

When you step into Escape Simulator 2, we want it to feel like you’re walking into a real-life escape room. Every detail is designed for interactivity—you can pick up and examine objects, wipe away dirt, drive vehicles, take a seat wherever you like, and move anything that’s not bolted down.

Create your dream escape rooms with the updated Room Editor 2.0! After seeing over 4,000 rooms built in the first game, we’ve made the tools even more powerful and intuitive. The new lighting engine makes your rooms look more like the official rooms, the Building Editor lets you design rooms (with working stairs!), and you can bring everything to life with Sequence animations.

Why a sequel?
A sequel gives us a fresh start and lets us push the limits of the genre further. We were inspired to explore darker escape room themes and experiment with new gameplay and puzzle ideas. Splitting from the original game let us focus on improving key features like rendering, networking, physics, and animations.
Will Escape Simulator still get updates?
Yes! With the recent Mayan DLC and more content on the way, we’ll continue supporting the original game while expanding its reach to new platforms.
Is it scary?
While Escape Simulator 2 is darker and has a more mysterious vibe, it’s not a horror game. The game also doesn’t feature any jump scares or gore.

We’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas for Escape Simulator 2! We ❤️ our amazing community of escapers, puzzle solvers, and builders, so feel free to share your ideas on Discord or email us at: community@pinestudio.com!

Visually beautiful game, but the lacks content (even community made content)
Excellent main attraction, a bit meh in some of the bonus stuff. The meat of the game are the escape rooms - and the game is well worth the money for that. You get 3 themes with 4 rooms each plus currently 2 additional rooms that got released post release. Some of the rooms are stellar, some are just servicable, but there's no terrible one. The Vampire and Pirate Rooms are great. Some of the best I've ever seen. Space makes great use of it's theme in room 2, but is overall not as good as the other ones. All the puzzles are on the fun side. Not too difficult, but they almost never step into annoying territory. On top of that you get multiplayer and a level editor. Now for the not so great stuff. Your player models will never look as cute or attractive as the cover art - there aren't even beards, but that hardly matters in Singleplayer. Then there are tokens to collect, which are jigsaw puzzle pieces you have to find and click on - and that is where the game leaves it's otherwise stellar clarity and becomes a test of your eyesight. Even if you have the right idea where to find them, you often miss them anyway. Dunno how to feel about those. One part of me says it has to be that way and the other says that it doesn't feel quite right. Anyway, these ultimatiely lead to a long boring unfair puzzle that doesn't feel challanging - just unfair, annoying and tedious - even if you read the walkthrough. So, with all the not-so-great stuff being optional and the game offering good value otherwise, this is a total recommendation.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Juego ctm Me obligó a tener pensamiento lógico, a realizar investigación artistica, a pensar fuera de la caja, lo detesto. Comprenlo ta weno Juego qlo xD
A fantastic upgrade over the first game. The graphics aren't as cartoony as the first game and are much more 'mature' now (but not nsfw, don't worry!), with moody lighting and generally much more immersive environments. My only complaint is how sloooooooowwwwwwww the devs are with bringing out new content, including new epic DLC! Cmon guys, bring out DLC and literally just take my money! Please! Let's speed it up over there! The community maps are just not the same. As much as I appreciate the effort these talented individuals are putting in, their maps just don't have the same polish or the same level of execution that the official ones do. So please give us more paid DLC or free content or both!
Played co-op for 7.5 hours, then game stopped connecting (either as host or trying to join another game). Has now not worked for weeks. Recent update did nothing. Support = non-existent, been advised that a) it's Steam's fault, or b) my 'router protections' are stopping it...every other game works. Steam hid behind their two-hour rule, so there you have it folks - write a game that only works for less than a day, profit. We will be avoiding all Pine Studio games from now on. Run away.
Co-op is actually single player with friends tagging along
Tried the first stage and part of the second one, but I'm refunding it. Many puzzles are way too obscure and even with the hints they don't make sense. I guess they wanted to step up the challenge/difficulty compared to ES1, but it's frustrating more then anything. Also the bright and cartoony vibe that Pine Studio games always used to have is completely gone and the new more realistic aesthetic is much darker and messier than ES1.
