Wouldn't recommend for the majority of people.
This one had been on my wishlist for the longest of time, and I finally picked it up from this past summer sale, and it was quite the disappointment when I hopped inside. Critical Bliss generally has a very good catalog, but this is one that I could only recommend to those that aren't actually going into this with the hopes of a lewd metroidvania.
It's really more of an old school platformer with combat and very much feels like a first time project. The combat feels archaic and is very bare bones with mechanics that feel a bit clunky and aren't explained at all. There's also minimal porn in here at all actually; when you take damage or play possum, you have a little button mashing minigame where the female enemies ♥♥♥♥ you, and if you ♥♥♥, you instantly lose. Aside from that, all you got in the way of fap material are some illustrated stills for the death screens that you can also view in the gallery when you beat the game, I would say if you're someone with a soft spot for a rough around the edges throw-backs with a pinch of NSFW, you could probably have a good afternoon. But in my opinion, this style of gameplay is more outdated than anything, and even if you like it, you're ultimately not getting very much content regardless.
The only other thing of note is that its bizarrely difficult for cheap porn game. Like, I was legitimately struggling on normal difficulty and was thinking to myself 'how the ♥♥♥♥ am I this ass at just the first level? I haven't gotten THAT rusty at 2d combat, right?' As it would turn out, this game is only 3 levels long, so that first level is quite literally a third of the game; maybe even a bit more since I felt like it took me slightly longer to beat than the following 2. Checkpoints are also rather scant, so if you try to engage in the clunky combat, you neither get much enjoyment and only risk sending yourself packing back quite a bit. It's more conducive to run past enemies or damage boost from taking a dive most of the way. I decided I wanted to refund the game after my first hour, so I dropped it down to the Easiest difficulty, ran past enemies and cheesed my way through it; I was able to beat the game in about 40 minutes, and still died in quite a few locations. Again, it's very strange that this of all games has been giving me trouble, since I also just recently picked up Nine Sols and am doing just fine for comparison.
Ultimately, I would say to only pick this up if you want an old-school platforming/combat challenge, but other than that, I can't recommend this as a full experience, nor for the porn, even if it's on sale. I wish the developers the best; if this was a first time project, I'd say that at least everything functions as intended, and that the sprite art is pretty good, but big improvements have to be made going forwards. Maybe it's my fault for being so gooned out that this of all games was the one I was eyeing the most on my wishlist for a long ass time, but it just kinda sucks that it turned out to not be all that great.
