About

Erenshor is a single player adventure designed to capture the game play and feeling of an MMORPG. You will meet and group with hundreds of Erenshor's SimPlayers - which are your digital companions who persistently exist in the world, who progress independently, and who will always be ready to group and adventure along side you whenever you're ready.
Players will spend dozens or even hundreds of hours working on their characters. By the time they've reached the end game they'll be carrying godly weapons, long-lost spells, and legendary armor into battle - where they'll be nearly untouchable for all but the most fearsome opponents in Erenshor.

Erenshor is a single player love letter to the early MMORPGs that paved the way for the games we play today. Taking inspiration from the classics of the late 90s and early 00s, Erenshor does not offer quick rewards or hand-holding. Players will get lost, stumble upon deadly foes, and learn hard lessons. The keen adventurer will be rewarded.
Combat is deliberate and deadly. You'll need to consider positioning, strategy, and most importantly: what to do if it all goes wrong.
Your reward will be access to a monster's treasures once it's defeated. Some will drop swords, or armor, or jewels... and if you're lucky, it might have one of it's rare drops in its inventory - all for the taking.
If not - it'll respawn in time, and you'll slay it again for another chance.

Erenshor is built from the ground up to be a single player experience. All of the content, each puzzle, and all game play is hand built and balanced for one player, making Erenshor the only "MMO-Like" that is truly meant to be played alone.
You'll start with nothing, stranded on a small island off the mainland of Erenshor. With persistence, you'll gain power and wealth. Success will not come without failure, but with every party wipe and failed battle you'll gain experience and knowledge to come back and try again.

Partner with our signature Simulated Players to experience all of the content the game has to offer.
These players will level up alongside you (whether you're online or not), they'll find new items on their own and they'll find them with your help. They'll ask for loot drops, they'll buy and sell loot, join and leave guilds, and even invite you to raids as they get to know you. They'll remember you and how you treat them.
The SimPlayers all have their own pre-written personalities and motivations, and their own opinions of you and of the other players. You'll find favorites, and together you'll conquer the world of Erenshor one rare drop at a time.
Grow together as a 'server' in order to defeat Erenshor's toughest opponents... and then leave the realm to challenge the Gods themselves!

You'll hunt monsters, complete quests, and find lost artifacts worth more gold than you could ever wish for. Each upgraded item will bring tangible increases in power, and soon the unwavering foes before you will be pushed aside, revealing a challenge even greater.

NPCs all respawn. You can attack any of them, and they all drop loot. Even the good guys.
Factions exist. Wiping out a town may mean you're no longer welcome there... but it may open up doors elsewhere.
Thousands of unique items, from common drops, to legendary treasure.
Simulated Players: You may get an invitation to join a group of simulated players in slaying a dragon or even a God. The treasures are yours for the taking.
Cities, Dungeons, Tombs, Forests, Beaches, Forts, Meadows, Caves, and Mountain Ranges - a huge world to explore with secrets in every corner.
Lore and Story done your way. Investigate the mysteries of Erenshor, or don't. Kill mindlessly for power, or with direction and purpose.
A World Divided: The game world is divided into separate 'zones'. Areas are unique to themselves, and can be traversed at will - whether you're ready for it or not.
Multiple Character Slots and a shared Bank. Subsequent characters have the option of starting with a massive advantage, including XP bonuses.
No micro transactions. Ever.
*Note that SimPlayers do not use LLM or any other emerging AI model. They are run by a mixture of state machines and decision trees. This means no token fees, and no lapse in service after a certain amount of use.

It's very fun RPG with MMO simulation from old good times. Multiple dungeons, raids (soon), quests and loot awaits you and you can be a caring leader of your own high ranking NPC guild. There are mods even for real Coop here too but I never used any.
This game is awesome. Consistent updates. Funny interactions. Fresh take on the MMORPG genre. There is so much to learn, see, and experience from leveling up, doing the quests, pushing the limits of puzzles, bosses, and other standard MMO mechanics but under a completely new lens. The developer is always available in their discord. Answers questions. The new raid content they dropped is absolutely over the top. I cant wait to see what else they come up with! Swear in game, do it, its hillarious.
this game just makes me lonely, its exactly what it says though, and i won't refund cuz i like to support peeps :P
One of the best games I've played in a while. An extremely addictive single-player simulation of an old school FFXI/Everquest-era MMORPG. It manages to tap into everything I love about those games: the grind, the exploration, the atmosphere, discovering new loot, and the fun of partying up and traversing a huge sandbox open world. It's excellent. I've wanted a single-player game that could capture the same feeling of exploring an old school MMO for a long time, and this has nailed it. That being said, it very much maintains the friction of those games. The questing gives very minimal instructions, you're almost certainly going to need to refer to a wiki regularly throughout your playtime, the game is a bit of a mess visually, and the progression grind is a very slow journey that not everyone may be onboard with (granted, the game gives you a ton of options to customize your experience and make it faster/more approachable to your liking). None of those things have bothered me personally, so I'm having a really great time with the game. Very excited to keep following development and see where it goes. Can't recommend it enough!
Play experience: went through tutorial island with a tank, healer and DPS. Played none of the game beyond that. I went into this unsure how a single player simulated MMO would be and I have to say I actually really enjoy playing it. Part of the issue I have with regular MMO's is anything but end-game content is so easy that you just breeze through everything solo. This game may risk going in the other direction however. Not sure if it's like this after tutorial island but I found fighting anything solo to be an absolute slog, as if everything was balanced around having a party. Then your sim player party would turn up very underequipped half the time so it turns into more of a party based RPG where you're equipping everyone.
I enjoyed playing EQ from launch to dragons. This scratches the same itch but on my schedule. Fantastic.
I have been trying sooooo hard to like this game, but I just cannot get past the zero direction, zero organization, confusing "questing", etc. I right click on something/someone that has a question mark (assuming it's a quest) and I am met with "you are too weak to fight this creature"... like, what? I'm not trying to fight it!!! Makes zero sense. And when I do find a quest, I don't even know it's a quest... or wtf to even do! I'm just expected to explore and figure it out???? The graphics are so bad. SO bad. I have zero clue what is happening in combat. The combat sound effects seem like an insane after thought because I can barely even hear my character hitting mobs. Also seems like the class I chose just does zero damage compared to the AI bots doing quadruple my damage at the same level. I'm expected to either purchase, or find skills for my character... which is fine, but I found one that required me to be level 4, I hit 4 and still nothing happens when I right click to "permanently learn skill"... Broken? Chat is extremely limited, and it is just spam spam spam unless you turn down the bot count (which idk if that even helps, cuz I have not tried) I cannot understand why this game has such positive reviews in this state. It's truly horrendous to play. I understand this game isn't meant to hold your hand, and is meant for you to explore but dude, there is absolutely ZERO guidance what so ever. You cannot expect people to play or enjoy this game besides a small niche community... unless that is what you're going for. I'd like to change this review to positive, but in its current state I just cannot recommend this game.
this is what i've been looking for! it's definitely a work in progress.
Long story short, its awesome... old school MMORPG Without need for the net, the old feel without worry of a telemarketer calling and disconnecting you, enjoying the feel of ones youth when your old (like me) without the modern day trolls ruining it... Plus the ton of references brought up. It however needs a Friends List that you add NPC's so you can group them easily
This game is fun and engaging.
