I don't know if all the 2-3 hour played good reviews are bought, or we played entirely different games, but to me the game felt VERY empty. There is nothing to do, no tutorial in the new version so you have to install the Legacy version for the achievements. In this EA version you just spawn into an empty world with random loot scattered around empty buildings, do a few quests and it's done. I don't know if I'm missing something. (Most of my hours are afk menu time)
This game is good as an early access. It clearly isn't the finished product. Too many buildings are completely empty. Items are clipping through other surfaces - walls, floors, ceilings etc. Optimisation is needed. Bandits are too accurate from too far away and once a zombie sees you, it just keeps coming no matter how far you run. A bit more info on weapons type of ammo would be good. Overall, fun to play but there is always Surroundead.
The game is as empty as Gmod's flatgrass, Just play unturned because this game has almost NO content.
A very solid zombie survival with decent building and very fast cars. When you want to just shoot some zombies this is a great time killer.
Keep trying to go back to this game, but it's just not as good as it was when it first came out. Loved playing it before the remake, now its an empty game with bugs. I can stand on a car and kill a whole horde with a sword because they cant reach me. And zombies carrying 3 desks and a set of shelves? Come on, just populate the buildings with the furniture. It's a shame.
i dunno on this one. I remember getting this and SurrounDead at about the same time. I feel like they have a parallel dev path. Both are poly-based zombie survival. SurrounDead feels a little more polished. Deadpoly is getting there and certainly the strongest thing Deadpoly has going for it is that it's multiplayer. The only trouble is that if that really feels like that's all their is working for it. If you've seen both games, i think they are both good but for different reasons. Deadpoly has potential to be amazing since the multiplayer piece is in place. But the lack of polish compared to SurrounDead is a little bit of a turnoff. At this point, get this and surroundead and just enjoy each for what they are right now - we'll see which dev wins out!
I really liked this game, it has potential, unfortunately I cannot recommend it in its current state. There are just too many bugs. I'm honestly super frustrated because sometimes when you die your body with all of your stuff on it just disappears, gone forever. I was taking the lift in the storage units up and got killed by some Zombies as it was going up and when I returned my body and all of my gear was gone. Completely unacceptable for a game to just delete your entire loadout because of a glitch. It could be a good game but that really just ruins it for me. I would avoid this game if I were you, there are a lot of other options in the genre where you're not at risk of losing your gear. Update: I was able to get my inventory from a backup in the game files. I still don't think I can recommend this game to others, there are some bugs, and the game overall is missing a lot of substance. If you want a truly do whatever you want, search endlessly for the same loot game, then this is it, but if you're wanting progression and growth this is not the right game for that. Even the quest givers are minimal at best and if you find any out of order they just straight up have nothing for you. There are some Big Boy Zeds but outside of that there is very little enemy variety with no bosses that I've found. This game has potential but its pretty dang empty for now.
Don't let the low-poly graphics fool you. This game has manual magazine loading, bullet drop, and leaning mechanics. It has way more tactical depth than major AAA survival games.
Unable to join any servers at all due to UI bug. Reported this in the developers discord, and asked for help and my post was never replied to and subsequently deleted.
