Deep Character Customization
Your character attributes matter and will affect your cards effectiveness, the damage you deal and other aspects of your build. Different races and classes have access to entirely different card sets, perks, equipment, resistances and damage affinities.
No class/race combination will ever feel exactly the same
Classes & Races each get access to a different Card Set called "Discipline'. That also contains different equipment, consumables and initial skills.
Their varied attributes & affinities will let you specialize in different types of Damage, affecting how well you can use the different types of cards.
You can acquire powerful passive bonuses and perks, that improve several aspects of your character. Each Class & Race has access to a variety of perks, that can add something unique in your build. Some classes can even gain access to additional card sets from other 'Disciplines' through perks, and further expand your tactical options.
Build & Adjust your Deck freely
Adjust your Deck anytime, freely. Add and Remove Racial & Class skills you learn and unlock as you play, unique Actions you find in Forgotten Grimoires as well as Consumable Items, and create the ultimate deck.
Experiment & use different Action Card combinations to overcome hordes of unique enemies. Each with different Damage type resistances, vulnerabilities and decision making.
Utilize hundreds of Action Cards composed from hundreds of unique effects of different philosophy & complexity. Each Race & Class combination will give you new and unique ways and game play options as you deal with your obstacles.
Add brand new effects into any card with the 'Synergy' mechanic & expand/adapt your tactics in ways you never thought possible in a computer card game.
Upgrade your Cards to stronger versions simply by using them.

It is complex game with lot of play-styles and options - that itself is a good thing. I enjoyed learning the rules. But after 9 or so hours I realized that the game is too dull or repetitive if you will. Problem #1: You select combination of race and class which will give you certain deck. With that deck you fight and fight, the same cards over and over and occasionally you can add new card to your deck but your choice is mostly of the cards you already have or something close to it => you wont be able to dramatically change your deck as you progress. Only new game will you the option to play something completely different. Problem #2: Individual fights are interchanged with events - but they are again boring: a chest with new cards which, surprise, are most of the time same or similar to what you have. Or you find selection of artifacts which just adjust one/two of many of your attributes. And then you get back to one of many fights which again feel so same. The game looked so cool, so many character options and cards, I really wanted to like it. I even defeated the game on the 2nd difficulty, but all I can say is - it is so boring, unfortunately. If you want to see a game that doesnt fall into boredom - see for example SpellRogue. By far they dont need that many cards at all, but they have a clever system of mechanics and interesting events along the way and that is what keeps you playing again and again. Thousand of cards doesnt do the trick, I am sorry.
Refunded the game after the tutorial. Just too janky for me. I'm too old and my time is too valuable for a game like this. The tutorial taught literally nothing.
While I can appreciate how the game could have a fair amount of variety in starting decks and possible synergies, the game is just not very fun. Seemingly randomly meshed together art, almost no feedback (sounds or graphical), and tons of somewhat confusing stats and keywords (+ to damage types, enemies with - to damage types, no combat preview so no idea as to what damage range you are looking at unless you manually do the math each time). A pity, because I like the concept and would love something approaching the old MtG single player cardgame from wayyyy back where you had a starting deck and customized it by finding/buying cards on a world map...but even that game from over 20 years ago had better feeling gameplay and more clear and understandable mechanics.
DOES NOT SAVE, Lost hours of progress on a character
I've been playing Reborn a lot over the past few days and I have to say that they feel a lot more different than I expected despite so many similarities. I was afraid it would be like playing the same game (and I've already played way too much of chronicles), but it actually is a fresh experience. I think Chronicles is a better game overall, but there are some things I like better about Reborn. Chronicles is more polished and there are a lot more options, but that might be overwhelming to some people. If you haven't played either, I'd recommend Chronicles unless you want a simpler experience. Most classes and races have to be unlocked in Reborn whereas Chronicles gives you everything immediately (although there are progression rewards in Chronicles in bonuses to starting LP). So if you prefer the format of the standard roguelike deckbuilders and want something simpler, then Reborn might be better. Both games have an open world mode, but Reborn has more emphasis on the gauntlet style modes (again like roguelike deckbuilders). I should also warn people that a lot of the women in the game are wearing very skimpy outfits. This might be positive for some people or a negative for others. As for the art style in general, Chronicles is better. Most things are more polished. The biggest thing that is done better in Reborn is how Guild contacts work. In Reborn, they're permanent summons rather than just cards you play once and then have to wait to draw them again. I think you need the DLCs for organizations/guilds, but the base game has hideouts that are also permanents summons which gives you access to allies you can summon and sometimes other cards. One of the worst things about Reborn is you can't inflict status effects on enemies higher level than you. In Chronicles, only control was limited by enemy level. Here you can't inflict bleed, vulnerable, stun, venom, etc. on enemies higher level than you. Another difference is there's a lot less emphasis on skills and prerequisites. The only way to raise skills is through perks (level up points are just for attributes). This means you'll have somewhat more access to cards outside your class/race/organization (although Chronicles does have a decent amount of cards without prerequisites as well). The game does have issues. I've already gone over them a lot in my review of Chronicles which was mostly negative (although I ended up recommending the game despite its flaws). The main thing is there's a lot of mechanics and not always explained properly. The other thing is the game gets very repetitive and involves a lot of clicking for each turn. If you're just doing gauntlets, it's not as bad, but with open world it does feel like a grind after awhile.
Very nice and entretaining RPG/deck builder. You play classes / races. But single race or class deck are possible. Lots of modes. Even a kind of RPG campaing mode.

One of the best RPG card games I have played. It has a large amount of races and classes which you can mix and match to play how you want. Almost all the ones I have put time into so far react differently giving different options based on what your playing and how you react to different scenes. I watched this game for a long time before i bought it to try and I highly recommend just getting the base game and trying it out.
