About
ENCHAIN links hack & slash juggling and frenetic platforming with fast-paced retro FPS gunplay. Inspired by platform fighters and arena shooters, smash the undead into pieces with exhilarating velocity. And, with progression and verticality influenced by Dark Souls, tackle a single interconnected world chunk by chunk, retreading old paths and checkpoints with newfound technique.

You are the last corpse to ever rise from the petrified earth, dooming all creation to a ceaseless death. This underworld does not welcome you. Unlock the secrets of the crypt, take back life from your fleshless kindred, and fight your own way out of humanity's tomb.
Get lost in the chasm. No one will be holding your cold, hollow hands along the way.
Grapple, slide, kick, wall-run, and dive into dynamic expressive platforming.
Experiment to learn a full suite of movement techniques, and use them to your advantage to rise above the crypt.
Collect powerful weapons and bracelets, each with their own quirks and synergies to discover.
Unravel twisting routes in an intertwined, non-linear underworld that whispers its forgotten history across scattered item inscriptions.

Go buy this game. The amount of cool movment and creative platforming here is imanse. Also the game feels so open that you can just go wherever. There is a real sense of exploration here
The early access tag is there for a reason and you'll probably discover unfinished portions, but the idea of Ultrakill adjacent combat in a darksouls style world makes it hard to not enjoy
You can surf on skeletons with a hookshot
Best Indie Shooter in a long while. Love the movement and mastering how to move.
So much amazing content here! Movement mechanics feel just right and there's so much heavy, low-res-texture, bit-crushed, vibey atmosphere to explore, even in early access.
I put a good few hours into the demo and was eagerly awaiting early access. It's obviously in development, and that can be seen with some of the UI especially, but the movement and gameplay is so so satisfying. There's nothing like swinging across a chasm before grabbing a skeleton and using him as a skateboard. All I need now is more Enchain, and maybe a kickflip, and I'm happy.
I played the demo years ago for several hours just experimenting with how far I could take the movement system and instantly wish listed the game. While the depth of the movement alone makes this an extremely fun game to mess around with it also has a fun combat system to pair with the movement. Easily recommend to anyone who thinks parkour mixed with some fast paced gun played sounds interesting. The skeleton theme just kinda elevates this game further for me, aswell. I don't think I'd enjoy this game nearly as much if you were a normal guy fighting thugs, but the graveyard theme really helps give this game a fun identity. Unfortunately the Demo and the full release as of Spring 2026 really only provide 5 combat challenges in 4 boss fights and one hidden horde fight. There are many enemies throughout the game but with the ability to farm little mobs for infinite ammo there really is never much of a challenge except when some mobs are just placed to harass you while you're trying to traverse an area. However the 5 fights mentioned are extremely fun. They let you push the combat to it's limit forcing you dump all of your resources strategically to deal with the regenerating health and stability bars. You can really see the potential for the combat system in these fights that random mobs don't always let you fully express. My only comment would be to maybe add some more wood blocks on the ceiling of the crypt boss ( I know there's wood on the walls but it's not great to use them and they're only at the back end of the arena) and maybe a couple or just a single wood block in the sky during the mountain fight. Perhaps you did try that and enemy AI right has trouble with you being airborn but it definitely feels a little sad being limited to kick and dives during the fights when a single placed wood block overhead would expand your mobility options dramatically for some fancy dodges and attacks. While I do understand the health > staggered > kinectic damage system quite well I do feel like some players may not grasp it at first and it might cause some friction. I know there's a text box that explains the damage system, but I know some players don't always read and need more than that. A part of me just worries it might hurt player retention, because I do want to see this game thrive. I'm not sure exactly how to remedy this but perhaps it could be bettered explained if keywords were used. ie: Enemies with a broken health bar are referred to as "fragile" and perhaps their health bar blinks with a white outline while fragile. Just some added redundancy so if a player misunderstands the first combat textbox they can better intuit how the combat flow is supposed to work. Definitely a really fun game and I really hope to see more in the future. Great work Matt :D
Awesome movement mechnics and Fun all around
Amazing game, the demo was my first intro into movement shooters and even after playing games like UK this still holds up on release. Super duper 9000% thumbs super up brotato
Very great potential, i would invest early into this as the developer has an amazing vision. this game is quite buggy but nothing i've encountered has been game breaking or fun ruining. Once some bugs get fixed and maybe a few tweaks here and there this game will be one of those classics we look fondly on
