Bought it and completely missed the generative AI disclosure. That's on me. That being said I still do not recommend it. While the concept of the game itself is really cool it is disappointing to see developers that could make something great use these kinds of business practices. No disrespect to the dev, but if you care about something you should put your effort into all of it. Please don't steal others work for your own in the future. It not only disrespects the creator, it's disrespectful to yourself.
Conceptually simple but heaps of fun, has the vaugest feel of a map painter like openfront with some building and army commanding of they are billions. Well worth checking out, currently my only request would be coop/pve/pvpve at some stage. This would be fantastic to play with friends setting up adjoining nations to fight back the clankers.
ОЧЕНЬ КРУТАЯ ИГРА ЧТОБЫ ЛИШИТЬСЯ ЗРЕНИЯ НАВСЕГДА
Remove AI and I would probably give a positive review...
The game honestly has a fairly decent format and could be good with a few updates. Honestly the first one the demo didn't have as a problem. There is just way too many attacks, for the amount of force i need to repel a force i need defensive walls manned with solders to hold off the inital wave as it groups against you, so your main force can arrive, but i'm hitting a point where i'm swinging my main force from the left to the right fairly almost on cooldown, and i can't afford to split it, because if i do the worms can break through walls, i barely have enough troops to kill a worm before it can tear down a wall. on top of this i don't have enough workers, i have managed to get 2 cities, and almost a full refugee city (with over 50 water cost per tent now that takes ages to build) and i can't get another city because its so far away it'll break any defenses i have. you can't have any trade routes because people run right through enemies getting killed instantly and you can't tell people to screw off. i mean i have workers run outside my walls during an attack to try to repair... JUST REPAIR INSIDE. (this seems to be from the walls having a "inside" that you can't visually tell so the worker tries to repair from that side. it really just needs some number rebalancing and it'd be fine, plus some minor qoa, but for now, wait.
Game is fantastic, anyone who's a fan of large scale RTS will get a ton of enjoyment out of this. There's a bit of a learning curve but the in game tutorial / knowledge book popping up whenever something new is unlocked makes for an easy pick up / understanding of how each mechanic works. Give it a shot, I'm expecting to drop at least 100 hours if not more into the game for the low price of 15 usd. ~You can feel the passion this dev put into the project.
Pretty interesting. I think They are Billions on a larger scale, with bugs instead of zombies, is a pretty good comparison. Needs some more time in the oven, has some UI bugs, pathfinding bugs and overall troubles with readability of what is going on, but I like it. I had fun and played 3 hours in 1 sitting. Will continue playing more and am curious how much "deeper" it goes.
This is a very neat little hoard defense RTS and the first "They Are Billions" like I have enjoyed. Its a bit rough around the edges, but well worth the money for a very interesting expansion to the subgenre. Way to go Dev you have really made something cool.
if the demo was good and fun the full game look to be even better, the feeling of conquering the whole world is quite fun, the number of building and unit compared to the demow as quite good, the game seem to also lag less. a game that look have quite a lot of potential and already filled with quite a lot of fun
