This RPG is a must-play for fans of the genre, with a mesmerising storyline and engaging gameplay that will keep you hooked. Although there were minor bugs, the vast array of combat options and impressive skill tree make up for it. The attention to detail is impressive, and the fighting system is particularly enjoyable. Highly recommended for RPG enthusiasts.
its got stupid memory puzzels blah
this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥' huge. I'm like 25 hours in (it got left running a few times), and i'm just about to complete the third chapter (or the first chapter of the third concurrent storyline). I could have done it much faster on account of me wanting to explore the big world and do all the side activities (sadly, without much to show for it since I just dont have acccess to smithing yet?), but it feels like soon it will open up a bit more and let me actually revisit some of these places to rebuild the bridges and stuff. The combat holds up, its action bar jrpg combat, but the (15!) main characters all have interesting kits, and play differently somehow. I'm also only like 1/4th the way through any of their skill trees, and i'm excited to dig in deeper. Could see myself playing this game for many dozens of hours.

Amazing game, I've been playing since the beta, and it kicks some serious butt... heck before it was on steam!
A lot of love and attention and effort went into this game.
So, I streamed this a couple of weeks ago, and so far I enjoyed it! I will say that it starts a bit generic, but the art is a strong selling point. If you're into RPG games of any kind, it's worth a look.
I picked this up for steamdeck and its runs quite well there. It's a fun little indie "JRPG" styled game with tons of customization and progression. Currently on chapter 3 of the game and enjoying it. The developer is very active and responsive to constructive criticism and will fix any flaws that you find. There is of course small issues here and there but I have not run into anything gamebreaking as of yet and the game is overall incredibly fun and addictive especially if you like turn based JRPG's. Definitely worth if you are a fan of games like Octopath, runs great on steamdeck
Great game, I'm still on the early chapters I'm taking my time playing the game
Empire Chronicles is a Open World rpg that caters to those who are explorist, quest doers and a great battle system. At first the game can be a handful with the tutorials, because of the complex system mechanics the game has to offer. The player, will naturally grow to the controls and the style of the game. Theres plenty to do and find with the looting system and the skill grid is a step ahead of learning skills than just levelling up. Each main character, has their own story and path to traverse on their own giving the player lots of game-play. However, the game has some frame drop issues, but nevertheless, not enough to impact the players experience.
This is an amazing RPG with character development through skill trees so you can decide on which stats or skills you want to prioritize. Story line is very well written, and the world is huge. The crafting gives a ton of options on gear. The game is going to take a long time or you can blow through a lot of it by skipping fights. It's all up to the player.
Solid buy for the price. Good combat. Holds up well over time. Lots of options on character builds. Deep and varied skill trees. LARGE game world. Narrative switches between different party groups which requires changing tactics. UI is a bit fiddly, but not unbearable once you figure it out. Some quests and puzzles are a bit of a chore. Story is generic.
