A ambientação é ótima.
Not really a game. It's more link fragments of what could've been a game. The bit and pieces of the story are scattered with little to no context, as well as an unclear timeline. Then it ends, just as you think it might have gotten interesting. It's a real shame too, because it had the potential to become good, and the graphic is great. It's like someone just ran out of budget. Also, super short
Game with a lot of interesting things and a lot of jank going on but I could not finish the opening because the walking is sooo slow. If they ever fix it I'd love to have another crack at it. If you have money to waste if definitely interesting.
Visually pleasing, but a braindead story with no logic. I wasted 2 hours of my life on this.
ELEA Positives: + Nice idea and interesting story + Fantastic graphics + Mostly nice atmosphere + Nice style and design + Very detailed environments + Good sound and music + Nice voiceacting Negatives: - All the nonsense parts that doesnt do anything to the story - Sometimes hard to know what to do next - Quirky controls - All the bugs and glitches - Bad facial animations - The flickering, blinking and other horrible effects that are highly unneccessary - Overly use of effects in general that make the game look worse - Very slow walking speed - The "ending" makes no sense - Very short length This could have been a great space walking sim, but it ended up in a bit of a dissappointment. Dont get me wrong, its still worth to play. But it could have been a lot better. Where is the rest of the game and story? It went nowhere. And be aware that some parts got horrible effects that a lot of people will find challenging to watch. Total Score: 7/10
After only 40 minute of game 'play' in which I barely played, I have a throbbing headache and nausea from motion sickness. I feel the description of the game and game elements we misleading in the store page.
Игра ELEA... ..."
ELEA is a narrative-driven science fiction adventure developed by Kyodai Ltd and published by SOEDESCO, presenting a deeply introspective journey through space, memory, and human fragility. Framed as a first-person exploration experience, the game places players in the role of River Elea Catherine Jones, a scientist grappling with profound personal loss and unresolved questions surrounding an interstellar expedition known as the Pilgrimage. Years before the events of the game, humanity faced extinction due to a mysterious disease affecting children, prompting the launch of a desperate mission to colonize a distant planet named Solace. River’s husband joined that mission and vanished without explanation. ELEA unfolds as River ventures into the remnants of that failed expedition, determined to uncover what happened and to confront the emotional void left behind. From the outset, ELEA establishes a contemplative and melancholic tone. The pacing is deliberate, often slow, emphasizing atmosphere over action. Rather than relying on traditional gameplay mechanics or combat systems, the experience centers on environmental storytelling and narrative immersion. Players explore spacecraft corridors, abandoned living quarters, and strange alien vistas while piecing together fragments of logs, memories, and symbolic imagery. Much of the storytelling is delivered through monologue and carefully staged scenes, creating a sense of intimacy that reflects River’s internal struggle. The game is less concerned with presenting straightforward answers and more invested in evoking emotional and philosophical reflection. Visually, ELEA is powered by Unreal Engine and showcases moments of striking environmental design. The sterile geometry of space station interiors contrasts with surreal dreamlike sequences that blur the boundaries between reality and hallucination. Lighting is used dramatically, with deep shadows and vibrant cosmic backdrops enhancing the feeling of isolation. There are sequences that feel almost abstract, as the game leans into symbolic imagery and shifting perspectives. While certain character animations and facial models may lack polish compared to larger productions, the environmental artistry frequently succeeds in conveying a powerful sense of scale and desolation. The vast emptiness of space serves as both setting and metaphor, reinforcing themes of grief and existential uncertainty. The sound design complements this atmosphere with subdued musical arrangements and ambient effects that amplify the feeling of loneliness. Dialogue is delivered with emotional weight, underscoring River’s vulnerability and determination. The score often swells during pivotal moments, emphasizing the narrative’s dramatic arcs without overwhelming the player. Silence is used effectively as well, allowing the emptiness of certain environments to resonate and heighten immersion. Together, the audio and visual elements create a cohesive mood that prioritizes introspection over spectacle. However, ELEA’s commitment to atmosphere comes at the expense of traditional interactivity. Movement speed can feel restrictive, and progression sometimes lacks clear direction, leading to moments of confusion. The absence of puzzles or dynamic gameplay systems may leave players seeking more mechanical engagement feeling underwhelmed. Instead, the experience functions more as an interactive narrative journey, where exploration and observation are the primary forms of interaction. For some, this design choice enhances immersion by encouraging reflection; for others, it may feel overly passive. Narratively, ELEA attempts to grapple with large philosophical questions about humanity’s place in the universe, the ethics of colonization, and the nature of consciousness. The storyline weaves between personal grief and cosmic mystery, creating an interplay between intimate emotion and grand science fiction concepts. The ambiguity surrounding events can be interpreted as a deliberate artistic choice, inviting players to draw their own conclusions. Yet this same ambiguity may also leave certain narrative threads feeling unresolved or abstract. As an episodic experience, it hints at broader revelations beyond its initial arc, building intrigue while withholding definitive closure. Reception to ELEA has been mixed, reflecting its polarizing design philosophy. Players who appreciate slow-burning, story-focused adventures often praise its ambition and atmospheric depth. Those expecting more traditional gameplay elements may find the experience lacking in engagement. Ultimately, ELEA stands as a bold indie effort that prioritizes emotional storytelling and visual atmosphere over conventional mechanics. It offers a meditative science fiction journey that explores loss, hope, and the human condition against the vast backdrop of space. For players willing to embrace its deliberate pace and narrative focus, ELEA provides a haunting and introspective voyage that lingers long after its final moments. Rating: 5/10
