fromsoftware please dont go down the path of triple aaa studios. 5 dollars isnt much but PLEASE.

People acting like this isnt worth 5 bucks. 4 new armor sets 3 new torrent skins 2 new starting classes 2 new somber weapons with unique AOW and 4 SOTE weapons added to the base game (no more grinding for 40hrs to get backhand blades) If you do the math it comes out to around 33 cents per new addition. Could this have been added for free? yes Could they have charged 15$-20$ like ubisoft and EA do for their cosmetics? Also yes if you're gonna charge for a dlc like this 5$ feels like the right price. If you are a huge fan of ER and love making new builds this adds a ♥♥♥♥ ton of new options for the early game that I really appreciate. I dont feel scammed this dlc warranted another playthrough for me and my wife. Might be a hot take but i'd love another small dlc like this in the future. it added a substantial amount of content for a low low price.

I wanted to get this pack for two reasons: 1. This is my favorite game of all time, ever since its original 2022 release, and have owned both it and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC and played the whole thing to death on repeat, and as such, have been pining for more to be added to it in a way that enhances the experience in a complete way, while also having a fresh reason to replay everything (PvP and PvE alike) from scratch after a long time, but also; 2. I wanted to be able to leave this specific product apart from Elden Ring a separate review specifically for this, because I deem it important to do so. With #2 having been said, I am giving this a negative review, because this is a long-term fear of mine with this game (and with the developers especially) slowly coming true, but I can only blindly hope that I am going to be proven wrong (for once), and that this will never happen ever again. This is, as I would judge it, a "microtransaction in disguise". I would dive deep into this in greater detail, but I will instead refrain from doing so, and just keep this short: Never do this kind of thing in such a way as you did so with this now, ever again. This is the first and only time. This is just milking fans. You risk losing the good ones over foolish fickle greed for more profit. This is not the path to go further down. Go back and either choose or create a different one.
