About
A top-down roguelite action RPG built around deliberate, tactical combat and build-driven runs. Master telegraphed enemies, manage scarce healing, and forge powerful builds as you fight your way through a fractured world. Each run plays like an ARPG season in miniature: gather relics, shape your build, and push deeper into the shattered realms.
The world has fractured into a chaos of drifting realms. The gods have fallen silent, their power left behind you to harness. You are an unbound child of the divine, a spirit possessing mortal vessels in a desperate, cyclical journey toward the world’s core.
Death is not the end. It is a necessary retreat. Early runs can be challenging, but each failure brings you back stronger, revealing new truths, new powers, and a path closer to restoring this broken reality.
The fight for survival revolves around using your weapon, spells, or a mix of both in deliberate combat inspired by souls-like combat. Enemy attacks are clearly telegraphed, but your approach is defined by the tools and build you select: do you rely on positioning, dodges and parries, control foes with stagger and status effects, or maintain distance with spell-heavy precision? Every encounter is designed around clarity and avoidable damage. Health and healing are scarce, ensuring that the better you master your current build's specific strengths, the further you will push into the shattered realms.
Designed to be approachable but rewarding, the game encourages experimentation and persistence: permanent upgrades and growing familiarity with your build gradually shift the balance in your favor.
Discover powerful synergies and make run-defining choices to craft your character's build. While combat mastery is core, smart build decisions can dramatically amplify your strengths or open entirely new playstyles.
Weapon and Spells: Choose your weapon and spells for the run from randomized options with different playstyles and strengths each
Talents: Choose from a few randomized talents on most level-ups, with rarities from Common to Epic and rare Legendary powers unlocked through endgame Realm Distortions.
Divine Relics: Find powerful artifacts the vanished gods left behind, immediately providing a major power boost and shaping your build's direction (e.g., elemental mastery or defensive fortitude).
Infusions: Transform your abilities with these modifications, allowing you to spec spells into specialized tools, like a mana-restoring engine or a critical-strike trigger.
Forks of Fate: Twice in a run, you must choose between significant run-long tradeoffs. Do you chase raw power, embrace calculated risk, or balance both?
Every attempt leaves something behind for you to build on. Titan essence collected during a run can be invested in the Sanctuary to unlock permanent upgrades, transforming every death into a step toward victory. Permanent upgrades steadily increase your survivability and power, making each new attempt more powerful and flexible.
Plan your route across a semi-randomized world map where each node offers distinct rewards, risks, and opportunities to shape your run. Choose between relic hunts, combat trials, upgrades, or more permanent currency as you push deeper toward the core. Along the way you encounter some of the world’s surviving denizens from whom you can learn more about the world’s state and the forces that shaped it.
Each run helps you grow stronger, more capable and more prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
7 handcrafted biomes with varied enemy families
7 mechanically distinct major bosses and 10 miniboss encounters
Semi-randomized world map with meaningful path choices
45–60 minute full runs once mastered
Multiple difficulty settings

Game introduces a refreshing style that sets it apart from more traditional game genres. At first, the gameplay feels quite complex and even difficult. However, this complexity is not a weakness; it is part of what makes the experience engaging. One of the strongest aspects of the game is its well-designed gameplay system. The mechanics are deep and throughfully constucted, allowing players to experiment and discover different ways to approach challenges. While the learning curve may feel hard at the beginning, the sense of progress and the ability to choose masteries make it rewarding to continue playing and trying again. Overall the unique style, strong mechianics, and freedom of choice make playing this game a very enjoyable experience. For players willing to invest time and learn from their mistakes, the game offers a satifying and engaging journey. I definitely recommend giving it a try, especially for players who enjoy skill-based combat games and like creating their own strategies to succeed.
I have only played a little so far, but I can already tell that the game is great! Echoes of Myth is a mix of Dark Souls and Hades. As a player you are set to go through a mysterious world full of great (and little) enemies. Every game is unique, since after death you get a fresh start and get to make your character build almost from scratch (You can do some permanent upgrades, and you keep your battle experience as player, of course!) Not only does it offer complex character building combat wise, but it also manages to provide a great merchant and character customization systems, which I encountered after some time playing, and was pleasantly surprised. The world and UI visuals are pleasant and don't distract from a smooth gameplay. The game is polished and balanced on day one, which is also a huge plus! If you are a Souls games fan or a roguelike genre fan like me, you will enjoy this game a lot. Give it a try!
A simple looking random generated hack-and-slash game with deep character build options. This game surprised me by its smooth gameplay and captivating character progress. Power updates, while strong, may come with some downsides and it pays to plan a bit to get most out of your character. There is definitely that "one more turn" vibe to it. So far, very good game. We will see how much there is content or will it remain fresh after many hours.
So far Im having a pretty good time with it, not a ton of time in but the different fighting styles melee/spells/etc are pretty fun so far, combat is timing, etc...nice progression system with perma upgrades so plenty to keep playing for.
(Played the demo a lot so play time at writing is not reflective.) BLUF: It's a good game and worth the price. Long: The game is above normal ARPG difficulty, but that's kinda to be expected with the souls-lite combat mechanics. Builds and skills are interesting enough to keep you occupied and power-ups are offered in a good Hades-like fashion with enough randomization. I'm especially a fan of the enemy mechanics and versatility. Does it have replay value? Too early to say for me, I gotta do a finish first and see how it feels. Curiously for an indie game, there is super little jank and I've found zero bugs so far.
Echoes of The Myth is a fantastic indie gem! The gameplay instantly reminded me of Diablo III with its smooth hack-and-slash action, addictive incremental difficulty, and a huge variety of spells and weapons to master. The music is outstanding! It perfectly matches the atmosphere and dynamically shifts with events, pulling you even deeper into the world. There’s so much to explore that I already feel like I’ll be sinking dozens of hours into it. My only tiny note: it’s clearly built for a gamepad (keyboard movement feels a bit clunky without one), but even that didn’t stop me from having a blast. Huge congratulations to the dev for creating something this fun. Totally worth your time and support!
After 2h hours of gameplay everything about this looks very promising! Quick battle encounters with enough variance, smooth controls (I play with a controller), pleasing visuals and a soundscape that really builds the atmosphere. The story so far seems engaging and not too intrusive (letting you just focus on the action if that's how you like it). There are plenty of weapons and spells with unique features so the gameplay does not become too repetitive. I'm confident the game will offer hours of fun for the money.
A good roguelite game that you can play when you want to enjoy a bit of isometric action. I use a PS4 controller while playing and the gameplay feels good and engaging. The mechanic of building your own path leaves you craving to try out new builds. The wide variety in gear and skills means you can experience a different type of gameplay on each run, with different enemies being the tough ones compared to a previous run.
Echoes of Myth is a neat little Roguelite ARPG experince by a solo developer. I can give it a general recommendation if you are a fan of those genres, and are not opposed to a challenge. Positives: + Most mechanical parts of the game feel very polished for a solo dev. The controls are snappy, the UI is clear, the combat has a good flow, there is good build variety, etc. + There seems to be a clear vision what the game wants to be, and it doesn't waste your time extraneous bits. Negatives: - While I understand it is a challenge for a solo dev to create a unique/striking visuals, I'm still not a fan of the visual style of this game. - I feel that there is too much randomness in the character building, which creates too many situations where your build's effectiveness is left woefully behind the difficulty curve of the game. This game is the first true Roguelite I have ever played, which might colour my experience with it. A good first outing by the developer, which leaves me with positive expectations for their future works.
My first impression was that this game has a really good tempo and rewards aggressive yet cautious playing: You should do attacks at close range but since healing is limited, it is also good to dodge and not just "tank it all in." Music fits the game really well, visual are nice and balanced and controls seem fluid. I don´t play this genre that much but I really enjoyed the first 1½ hours of this game and definitely will return to it.
