About
A top-down roguelite action RPG built around deliberate, tactical combat and build-driven runs. Master telegraphed enemies, manage scarce healing, and forge powerful builds as you fight your way through a fractured world. Each run plays like an ARPG season in miniature: gather relics, shape your build, and push deeper into the shattered realms.
The world has fractured into a chaos of drifting realms. The gods have fallen silent, their power left behind you to harness. You are an unbound child of the divine, a spirit possessing mortal vessels in a desperate, cyclical journey toward the world’s core.
Death is not the end. It is a necessary retreat. Early runs can be challenging, but each failure brings you back stronger, revealing new truths, new powers, and a path closer to restoring this broken reality.
The fight for survival revolves around using your weapon, spells, or a mix of both in deliberate combat inspired by souls-like combat. Enemy attacks are clearly telegraphed, but your approach is defined by the tools and build you select: do you rely on positioning, dodges and parries, control foes with stagger and status effects, or maintain distance with spell-heavy precision? Every encounter is designed around clarity and avoidable damage. Health and healing are scarce, ensuring that the better you master your current build's specific strengths, the further you will push into the shattered realms.
Designed to be approachable but rewarding, the game encourages experimentation and persistence: permanent upgrades and growing familiarity with your build gradually shift the balance in your favor.
Discover powerful synergies and make run-defining choices to craft your character's build. While combat mastery is core, smart build decisions can dramatically amplify your strengths or open entirely new playstyles.
Weapon and Spells: Choose your weapon and spells for the run from randomized options with different playstyles and strengths each
Talents: Choose from a few randomized talents on most level-ups, with rarities from Common to Epic and rare Legendary powers unlocked through endgame Realm Distortions.
Divine Relics: Find powerful artifacts the vanished gods left behind, immediately providing a major power boost and shaping your build's direction (e.g., elemental mastery or defensive fortitude).
Infusions: Transform your abilities with these modifications, allowing you to spec spells into specialized tools, like a mana-restoring engine or a critical-strike trigger.
Forks of Fate: Twice in a run, you must choose between significant run-long tradeoffs. Do you chase raw power, embrace calculated risk, or balance both?
Every attempt leaves something behind for you to build on. Titan essence collected during a run can be invested in the Sanctuary to unlock permanent upgrades, transforming every death into a step toward victory. Permanent upgrades steadily increase your survivability and power, making each new attempt more powerful and flexible.
Plan your route across a semi-randomized world map where each node offers distinct rewards, risks, and opportunities to shape your run. Choose between relic hunts, combat trials, upgrades, or more permanent currency as you push deeper toward the core. Along the way you encounter some of the world’s surviving denizens from whom you can learn more about the world’s state and the forces that shaped it.
Each run helps you grow stronger, more capable and more prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
7 handcrafted biomes with varied enemy families
7 mechanically distinct major bosses and 10 miniboss encounters
Semi-randomized world map with meaningful path choices
45–60 minute full runs once mastered
Multiple difficulty settings
Endgame Realm Distortions challenge system

I loved the demo and im still loving it after full game purchase
I love this roguelike gave the demo an 8 but the full release is a whole new level. Controls are outstanding gameplay is both challenging and fun gameplay loop. Using spells to combo enemies and bosses works great. Plays good on a Steam Deck I do recommend lossless scaling to have a better gaming experience on the deck. 9.5/10 https://youtu.be/yWJ-JUzwsGM?si=gzNx0Sn1V4qtE0Me
I have not been a huge fan of roguelite/like games because I don't like losing progress when I have only little time to play. Or soulslike combat because of unforgiving style where you are harshly punished even for little mistakes be it timing or wrong movement by accident. But even after 50h+ of alpha and beta testing I'm still hooked and try to squeeze in a run or two when I find time to sit and "relax" gaming. I find progressing in this game rewarding with permanent buffs you can unlock. Every run be it short few map nodes or full completion feels like progress because it makes you stronger and gets you further next time. Especially at start of new save and first few runs. I'm still finding new fun builds and different ways to play. Even tho sometimes when rng isn't on your side run can be frustrating, slow and punishing and end up way too fast. Every run is mostly and wildly different than last. Randomness of starting weapon and spell, talents, infusions and relics you find on your way makes every run a new challenge. Even tho you can shape you future little by gaining reroll tokens and using fortune teller at shop, you can choose to go full on melee at start with huge sword and get few relics and talents for that build, and then end up getting only caster relics, talents and spell upgrades for rest of the run and end up with full on spell slinger wizard one shotting regular enemies. Or you end up with no good at anything character and die on first big boss after battling your way through first map. Movement is smooth and somewhat fluid with keyboard and mouse which I used first 40h, but even better and precise with gamepad. Graphics are lil dated but I have grown to like them. Sound effects and music are spot on for atmosphere. Overall I'm sure I will still get lots of entertainment out of this lil indie gem. Even now it's pretty high on bang per buck list of games I have played in last few years.
reminds me of Heretical but it does it's own thing. A lot of fun so far! Can recommend 👍
fun
Awesome game 7 have 21 hours on the demo and just bought the same day this came out fantastic game I love it if you thing about buying it do it you will not regret it
I was feeling bored by my second run but stuck with it for just under 6 hours to give the game a fair shake. In the end, I feel that Echoes of Myth is not as compelling as may of the reviews made it seem. I can see that the combat is intended to be 'methodical' but it mostly felt tedious to me; waiting for enemies to attack to step behind them for a few hits, or running around to wait for a cooldown. Build diversity was poor, in my experience. I saw the same few weapons and skills over and over, and the randomness of which skill is available for a given slot each run feels unsatisfying. Lastly, as less of a negative criticism and more as a nod to reality of indie gaming, for my taste EoM could use a serious QoL pass. Not being able to navigate beyond the next node on the map when selecting the next location is a strange limitation, considering the ability to do so when viewing the map from the regular menu... ...and why does the screen still vibrate after every weapon swing even after turning off screenshake?
