It's not a bad game. But it does feel unfinished and lacking. I hope they build on this because it is heading in the right direction. Enjoying it though for what it is. DO NOT PLAY DEATH MODE! This game is not good enough to play death mode and if you do play it i recommend playing it after the first playthrough. I cant tell you how many times i've died due to a bug or the game droping 10 enemies on me mid attack and all of them instant attacking as soon as they spawn. Some beasts can pin you down and attack you until you die with no way for you to break free. The only counter to it is to be in switch mode for your teamate to save you. Then theres a vision cutscene that drops you into a dark room out of nowhere full of immortal bosses and you have to get to the other side. Theres a high chance you'll die if you werent prepared for it. I get so mad when i die thinking about death mode because i always die in the most dumbest and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ways.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The experience can be made better with mods (like the open world mod). However, these are user created mods, not the work of the creators of the game. I cannot justify charging $70 for the base game that doesn't even let players choose death game mode on their first playthrough; some people may not even want a second playthrough. Then charging $90 for the Deluxe Edition (which of course included early death game mode access). In all fairness, this game is not worth $70 even if death game mode was unlocked by default. Any equipment you see (from the weapon DLC or the Ultimate Edition is barely better than the starting gear). Also, your character basically doesn't exist; you're basically there as a silent spectator to bind your group together. Your decisions are already made, you're only given a piss poor illusion of choice.
ill never forgive you for baiting me so hard with this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game
Just a basic game. Had such potential and came up way short, play the Demo only. The Demo is the best the game has to offer. The story isn't much, the system for weapons and armor upgrading is very sad. Linear gameplay and needed to be an open world. Very sad the hype had me buy the ultimate edition and I wasted my money and only played less than 20hrs and haven't been back since. Pass it up
THIS ♥♥♥♥ IS BORING. RUN THRU BLANK MAP TO TRAVEL POINT TO UNLOCK MAP-> RUN AROUND UNLOCKED OPENING CHESTS FOR GARBAGE -> FIGHT ONE OF 5 ENEMIES -> REPEAT.
Played for exactly 109 minutes. I played demo fully and was actually excited, I was thinking "Wow this migh be great!" and then I played the full version for 389PLN cuz I wanted to play on death mode that YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK BY PAYING OR PLAYING THRU THE WHOLE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME TO GET IT! And then when I played it multiple ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happened: Voice in cutscenes was cutting, lip-sync was absolutly ass, characters had no face expressions at all, and basically to put it simply this game is ♥♥♥♥.
In its current state and price i cannot recommend at all. The combat is fine even if its nothing impressive or deep but the exploration will absolutely waste every second of your life playing this game. About 80% of the chests are filled with useless consumable garbage u can just buy or craft yourself in town wasting your time looking for them. Hell often u get the same consumable item u just used to get to the chest that was blocked off. The world feels empty and u cant go outside of the limits of each mission. Story would be the good part of the game except it feels like all the resources were wasted on a painfully bland and empty world with about 2 type of area that being forest (floor 1) or desert (floor 2). The characters and emotional moments are actually decent and wish there could have been a ton more of it but all u gonna get is a little chatter at the start and end of the mission with only a very few proper cutscenes and the rest is just basic character dialogue with repeating the same five motion. On top of all this THE STORY IS NOT FINISHED AT ALL. Yes its 70$ for a literally unfinished story that u may or may not get in the future. It genuinely infuriate me that they fumbled this game so hard cuz the potential is there if they would have just made a linear with higher focus on the story and characters game but ended up being a cash grab unfinished mess with probably the best setting in the SAO IP.
