Reviews
no depth, no memorable characters, play the demo and you’ve experienced everything the game has to offer.
The main issue with this game is the fact that it's an SAO game that's single player. If it had a different title it would be more loved. I loved the SAO anime and could not wait to try this. Going in I knew it was single player which takes away from the entire idea of SAO. Even the AI partners talk about playing it with friends. They tried to stay true to SAO and missed so many things. Like the final attack bonus during a boss fight. The Good: 1. The world itself is just beautiful. Very well done. 2. Combat is good once you find a weapon you like. 3. Finding and finishing side quest to unlock features makes it more immersive. The Bad: 1. The AI does not shut up and muting them mutes all voices. Tired of hearing "It's a boar enemy" 20 times in a quest. 2. Not every kill needs a slow motion kill cam. This breaks the flow of combat since it happens constantly. Save it for Elites or Bosses. Not every one hit weak enemy. 3. Targeting is trash, Hard to target the enemy you want and is an enemy is not right in front of you, you can't switch to it without turning target on/off. 4. No real exploration even though SAO is about exploring. Wander off and it sends you back to the path. 5. Can't just leave town and explore, Have to have a quest active. 6. This is a big one, ARMOR DOES NOT drop from enemies, just weapons. You have to find blue prints to craft armor. 7. You can't upgrade anything but your weapon, So no upgrading armor. 8. To expensive for what it is, This game should have been around $40-$50. No point in buying anything over the basic version. 9. Navigation is so bad, You get a small line from a safe spot and then...good luck. Since you always have to go all the way around the map to get where you are going. 10. GOLD CHEST are not really worth going out of your way for. Some contain new armor so those are great. but out of the 20 you see on a map 18 will be something stupid like an antidote or potion...why is that in a gold glowing cheat? its like they added all the chests and went oh we don't have a big enough variety or items for all these. 11. The same enemy repeats a little much. I get floor 1 in the anime had boars and kobolds, but you could have used them a little less. Its not only those 2 enemies but those 2 and wolves are way over used. Over all the game is worth playing even though I have 3 good and 11 bad. If you stop comparing it to SAO even though it's an SAO game, it can be fun. Enjoy it for what it is since it will go the way of every other flop release and lose players and then stops getting updates. i have plenty of time in the game because it is a good game on it's own.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I get the hate on some parts of the game such as reused content, it feels like your non-stop fighting the same mobs over and over. which is fine but don't make the mini bosses also the exact same mobs. The game could have been so much better with a lot of new mobs added to change up the fights. The world itself is beautiful very well done.. pretty big at times but i like that feels like it more would have if in the game. Mobs can be glitchy at times but overall not much of an impact... I loved this game, aside from some of the set backs the story really is a good one and goes off of sao progressive pretty well. It did get old doing the same fights over and over but other than that i just loved it.. the fights were pretty well made, sword skills etc all loved it... I really hated the slow down on heavy it really gets you un-needed hits on you. Overall i get some of the game but i feel people were just too harsh. the game is great if you look past the few short-comings. 7/10 game, but for me its a 9/10 i really loved this game and cant wait for more of it.
I don't care how lore accurate it is let me edit my damn character after initial creation. all 11 hours I put into the demo were wasted because 1 character option wasn't set right or didn't carry over properly or something. now my demo save is dead to me, they might as well be one of the people who died before the announcement.
It's not a bad game. But it does feel unfinished and lacking. I hope they build on this because it is heading in the right direction. Enjoying it though for what it is. DO NOT PLAY DEATH MODE! This game is not good enough to play death mode and if you do play it i recommend playing it after the first playthrough. I cant tell you how many times i've died due to a bug or the game droping 10 enemies on me mid attack and all of them instant attacking as soon as they spawn. Some beasts can pin you down and attack you until you die with no way for you to break free. The only counter to it is to be in switch mode for your teamate to save you. Then theres a vision cutscene that drops you into a dark room out of nowhere full of immortal bosses and you have to get to the other side. Theres a high chance you'll die if you werent prepared for it. I get so mad when i die thinking about death mode because i always die in the most dumbest and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ways.
ill never forgive you for baiting me so hard with this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game
just no
Played for exactly 109 minutes. I played demo fully and was actually excited, I was thinking "Wow this migh be great!" and then I played the full version for 389PLN cuz I wanted to play on death mode that YOU HAVE TO UNLOCK BY PAYING OR PLAYING THRU THE WHOLE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME TO GET IT! And then when I played it multiple ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happened: Voice in cutscenes was cutting, lip-sync was absolutly ass, characters had no face expressions at all, and basically to put it simply this game is ♥♥♥♥.
Just a basic game. Had such potential and came up way short, play the Demo only. The Demo is the best the game has to offer. The story isn't much, the system for weapons and armor upgrading is very sad. Linear gameplay and needed to be an open world. Very sad the hype had me buy the ultimate edition and I wasted my money and only played less than 20hrs and haven't been back since. Pass it up
