Finally a SAO Game that deserves glazing. Yet all i see is bad reviews, why tho? First SAO Game that actually is graphically not in the PS2 Era AND outshines all the other anime games bandai namco publishes. The biggest plus it gets for me is Unreal Engine 5 and good performance. Finally a studio nailing it. I can play an Unreal Game on Max Settings, 4k Resolution, No DLSS, No TAA, (there is TSR but im using FXAA) and i get minimum 90 to 120 FPS (120Hz Tv) probably could get more without VSynch but dont care if i get this performance as constant as this has been. If FPS drops i dont notice it. Input feels great both keyboard and controller, has Playstation Symbols when using PS Controller (And steam input system not messing it up), but keyboard controlls are hella weird. You can customize it, but i rather stick with controller on this one. Fighting System once understood is super. Conter, Blocking and dodging feels great. Bandai, please. Learn from it, teach your other Studios to do it too. Switching actually has something to do with the anime version where you lure an monster dodge it and your partner absolute smacks it. Even if you dont want to use the switch system, your partner actually has a brain, fights decently and doesnt feel like a weight once played on higher difficulty. I play on very hard on my first playthrough rn and its really enjoyable to have an Ai Partner not dying constantly, cuz you play on very hard. World Design overall super good, a bit lacking when it comes to how lively it is human wise. Then again its a death game, you play on the first two floors, Kirito and the others doing their stuff and you do your own, which i love. People here say its too empty, but think again most are stuck in beginner town cuz they crap their pants and the rest is with Kirito and the gang rushing the tower. I get it thats empty. Performance wise they probably could make it more lively as the intro showed an absurd amount of players once you reach the actual launch of SAO without any performance spikes on my part. Tho i do have a bifi pc. Story wise could be better from what i played. More consistent too. Had a character say SAO has no magic. i open my map and the legend sais Magical Seal........ Stones with elemental attributes from fire to poison, holy water and the likes, like comon xD Tho with that being said id rather have a bomb gameplay, performance and graphics which it all has and have a rather lacking story which they can easily improve with dlc or updates. For instance could replace the Magical Barrier with Technical Barrier or just Barrier. What i dont understand is why they dont tell you that higher difficulty also means more rewards, cuz the differences are insane. Played the demo on PS5 Pro, which also runs super well and looks decent, on normal difficulty and now on PC i play very hard, killing enemies is much more satisfying on very hard and the loot difference is quite significant. Progression felt pointless at first, till i hit the mobs lvl cap, then i gained lvls but the mobs didnt which was good. I was stuck at a boss and it kept lvling up with me till a certain point, had difficulties getting him, but then i firstly understood the fighting system and was higher lvl than them so it was payback time. The boar bosses tho are a real pain. I was 5 LvLs higher than the boar boss at the second village and jesus it still stun locked me, toooooooo big aoes, spawns elites that also stun lock you and it genuinely felt like RE3 Remake Nemesis inferno fight. 5 Lvls higher, maxed gear for this point in the story and i still got obliberated till i had everything up and then smacked it. Map is BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG. It took me 10h to reach the SAO launch lmao cuz i was exploring everything, killing everything and looting everything. id say im half way through the first floor, i think, and there is still so much more map to be explored. Genuinely thought its only the first floor in this game, looked it up and a second one is there too. Now thats pretty big. Game Size is small, yet so much to explore? This game feels like a massive slap to the devs and publishers not able to handle UE5 ngl. Overall good game. Love it, enjoy it, works wonders on UE5 and finally it feels like i got a RTX 5080 not an GTX 680. I do wish DLSS 4.5 would be a thing as in terms of anti aliasing its the best tech iv seen there, would also boost performance too, but its definitely not needed. Still gotta try Smooth Motion on it. Deserves it a full price? More than the other UE5 Games thats for sure. Get it on a sale tho. for like 50 Bucks its a great game. DLC is coming too. I only wish more weapon types. Guns, Scythes etc. may not be SAO friendly, but there are more physical weapons than this. Lets see what they understand from a curved sword. Also if Kirito is allowed to dual wield a sword i want a scythe :P Also: Sasuke is in there :P

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I like the game so far
game's fun and i'm really loving the story so far. definitely would love to see more of this and would love one where i can make my character have animal ears and tail. but other than that game is pretty fun.
The game is meh, I was playing for the nostalgia of which it has none. The soul of Sao isn't there. Not even the soundtrack.
The game is alright. It is a story-driven game with your character and their friends experiences through the death-game. For being the game it set out to be, it does it all fine and good enough. It is good enough for what it is. It portrays the world and the setting accurately with it's gamey map layout and NPCs standing about. Most negative reviews are schizo though because they talk about this game being something it was never marketed as. They want a true SAO simulation and this is not it and it was never meant to be. "SAO fans has been screaming for years about a game where all 100 levels can be explored with other players in a true simulated world" sounds cool but this game, Echoes of Aincrad was never markerted as such so they're basically giving a fake review for a game that don't exist.
une vraie bouse la fin, sanctuaire sur sanctuaires, meme environnement pendants des heures. Au final battre un hibou et tu ne savais pas que c'était le boss de fin. Bien baclé la fin
so far these game are very good but certain parts are bores me. imagine spend 2 to 3 hours just to walking simulator in the whole map. i wish i wish and i wish the next content about getting new floors gotta be free hehe
Well, I finished the game now after 64 hours on normal mode, and I don't know. Like many others, I cannot recommend the game at full price for multiple reasons. I am a big SAO fan, and being able to play as your own character in Aincrad was fun, but too much was repetitive. Story and Characters: [contains Story SPOILER !!] For starters, the story has so much potential as a side story of SAO, but sadly isn't even finished and also opened up through many side characters which never really got followed or picked up later on. It feels like big open ends for most likely DLCs. On the note of side characters, they get thrown in but never play a big role, which is a little bit sad. They don't follow up on their story or what those characters are about, like the two player killers at the beginning. You receive later on, two cutscene again that they also received a brooch for the storyline that we play, and after the extra episode that they also have a guild now or cult.. but that's it. Neither do you fight, help, or interact with them again. Same with Cal from the prologue; he is just gone, and at some point, his brother appears with an annoying personality who thinks he is Sasuke from Naruto. (we find out why he likely is liek that regardless is that character trait at the "almoste" end of the game just annoying. And since iam talking about annoying characters, what is up with Lara at the end? A random idol you help which proceedes to on a wim following you because she is bored? Her character personality is super annoying to much of a diva for a random. If you really had a bigger choice, I would've left her in the cave where you find her. World Design and Exploration: The world is big, but feels still somewhat empty, at least it looks nice. In general, there are, for the amount of game time, not enough things that really were worth spending time on. At some point, I was just running through to the TPs to open up the map and then run from chest to chest and to the objective goal. The World is not really open-world, but just a few map areas per quest, feels more like an instance-based game than a truly open-world. Please, devs, do something about the barriers. My lord, every time a cutscene for the barrier, now being accessible, and then one extra for opening it.. thats a tat bit annoying, espacialy if there are round about 50 of those. Plus, I get the arc barriers (defeating a boss to open up the lock on the barrier), but what is with those random barriers that you just need to access from the right direction, and sometimes literally the direction you are anyway coming from right now? So annoying to also then have cutscenes. The chests also don't need to be in such abundance in this game, especially not if sometimes placed next to each other and at other times a million miles apart. Furthermore, the random stuff other than blueprints doesn't need to be in them, especially not the Col (money). This is even more unnecessary if, like me, you didn't even have to spend a quarter of all the money at the end, and I was pretty generous and upgraded a lot of weapons. So what is it for if you don't need it? This makes it feel like they just tried to put something in to make it feel like random loot. Combat and Weapons: You finish pretty fast with obtaining the skills for your chosen weapon, and while you can use all of them and level them all up, the only issue for me is that you pretty much run through 99% of the game with the same skills. Since there isn't really much variety, I got stuck with three specific skills for the rest of the game. Later on, the story doesn't even let you equip specific story weapons because of plot restrictions, which doesn't feel rewarding at all. For example, I was playing with daggers. Guess who wasn't allowed to equip the legendary story dagger? It didn't even show up in my items at all. What the heck is this? Who thought—especially since the story isn't even finished—"Hmm, those weapons should be story-locked for the likely big battle at the end where the side characters have their respective weapon types"? Seriously, let me equip the weapons that I collected! Did they forget what this game is about? It's an MMORPG-style game, which means looting, leveling, and equipping items and weapons. What happened here? All in all, playing a game that leaves a huge opening in the main story is just weird in general, and honestly, it is my biggest issue. - SPOILER ALERT !! I continued playing because there was an "extra episode" available. Well, it turned out to be just a bunch of quests for some gemstones in a dungeon crawler format. These stones basically just give you stat boosts, which you don't even really need. On top of that, there was one boss fight against a level 200 high-level underling of the likely final story boss, whom we haven't even encountered yet. Interestingly, while the boss was level 200, I was only level 70. Yet, there wasn't even a grind required to beat him. .. Instead of making it a separate extra episode, they could have at least used this content as a proper conclusion to the first chapter. But hey, what do I know about story design? e.e
