EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 5

It really took a long time, namely: years, that I tried this series after having bought EDF 4 once. But once you know what you're playing there, you might get caught into it, because it is one of the most enjoyable shooter games out there. Having bought EDF 5 now, there are tons of improvements over the fourth instalments: + the unbeatable fun gameplay of the previous game, but with more carnage, flying around insect parts, insect fluid over walls of buildings + might I've rarely played the Wing Diver class in the previous game, its one of my favorite in the fifth. It is a true enjoyment being able to fly all over the battlefield, land on rooftops and enjoy one of the most interesting Plasma and Laser weapons in the game + a completely different gameplay you experience as a ground force. The Air Raider once again is a class to highly dig into the thrilling battle, with the ability to conjure up massive air strikes and vehicles, but being slightly underpowered and unable to escape when trapped by a horde of ants + unlockables almost every single mission for every class and even if you lose a fight - a true improvement over the fourth game I bought EDF 6 right after I enjoyed EDF 5 so much, including all "side-games" like the Wing Diver spinoff. Can't wait to enjoy them all, and I'm sure I will!

Great Game, very entertaining, great with friends, different play styles, comical. Although for some reason my save file got deleted with all of my progress. I would play it again.

キーボード・マウスでプレイ。 EDF5をレンジャー、EDF6をフェンサーでエンディングまで進めました。 操作感は良好ながら「横入力中のジャンプボタンでローリング回避」という独特な仕様にやや困惑。 シナリオは王道でまあまあ良質。ガーッっと盛り上げてもすぐクールダウンさせてくるのが惜しい。 傑作であるEDF6のシナリオは今作EDF5のエンディングから直接繋がるのでぜひ買おう。
