About
It’s been 20 years since the events of the original game. The virus won, and humanity is slowly dying. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who delivers goods, brings news, and connects the few remaining survivor settlements in barren lands devastated by the zombie virus. However, your true goal is to find your little sister Mia, who you left behind as a kid to escape Dr. Waltz's torturous experiments. Haunted by the past, you eventually make the decision to confront it when you learn that Mia may still be alive in Villedor — the last city standing on Earth.
You quickly find yourself in a settlement torn by conflict. You’ll need to engage in creative and gory combat, so hone your skills to defeat hordes of zombies and make allies. Roam the city, free run across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot in remote areas, and be wary of the night. With every sunset, monsters take control of the streets.

Fifteen years ago, humanity was devastated by the Fall — a catastrophic event that would change the world forever. With the Harran virus spreading around the globe, people quickly found out that all hope for tomorrow is lost. By 2036, only a few settlements remain, and humanity is slowly dying, making way for the new species out there — a horde of relentless zombies.

Welcome to Villedor, one of the last bastions of humanity. During the day, survivors still try to have a life here and find a false sense of normalcy. Relationships are formed, dreams are dreamed, and life carries on. On the surface, everything seems… fine. Until sunset, that is. With the last ray of light dying out, other, more dreadful, dwellers of The City crawl out of their gloomy interiors, taking over the streets. If you are not vigilant and stay out too long in the dark, you may never return.

Not all fights can be won. Sometimes it’s best to run and, thankfully, you have the skills for it. Parkour lets you escape when odds are not in your favor. Jump from rooftop to rooftop, swing across the cityscape, ride ziplines, and much more. Whatever you do, experience a unique sense of freedom as you freerun across Villedor’s buildings and rooftops in search of loot or while running away from the dangers of the night.

In a world as dangerous as this one, only the strongest survive. Whether you prefer to smash, slice or dismember those who stand in your way, you have to be creative about it to make it through. And who says you need weapons? Utilize the entirety of your parkour moveset to get the jump on your enemies. Learn the ways of combat and parkour to feel the crunch of skulls and slices of flesh as you swing weapons or use your moves to fend off any forms of danger. And let’s not forget that Villedor has weapons that put the most advanced post-apocalyptic armories to shame.

Surviving in Villedor is easier with friends. Team up with up to 3 other players and increase your chances out there. Unravel the story together, take on Pilgrim Outpost challenges, or simply wreak havoc on the city streets.

Changed the prologue and cut half of it out, removing a connection to a character from the first game, as well as the tie in to the first game. All to appease their new overlords. Load of garbage
Unfortunately, the story is below average. The graphics are good for the time it was released. Although the gameplay becomes highly repetitive, the parkour mechanics are enough to keep you engaged and help cover its flaws. Despite a long time having passed since its release, bugs still disrupt the experience. I enjoyed it well enough. But once I'd finished the main story, I had zero interest in playing any more. Unlike with DL1, where I'd happily waste hours farming better weapons and blueprints. Overall, it’s an above-average game, but one that fails to meet expectations.
Devs decided to slash the prologue which was a great intro section and had great character interactions with Spike, a character of color from the first game. it is speculated that this was done under pressure from Tencent, a Chinese company, and for purely racist reasons. Folks, give me one good reason to vivisect the prologue from a game that's been the same for 6 years. There's already a "skip prologue" button. I used to love this game, but this really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm going to pirate a copy pre-update just so that I can experience the game as it was meant to be played. Until then, I will disable all updates to this game out of spite... and for Spike.
First of all, I paid for this game. Dear developers (And Tencent..), how would you feel if you went to a restaurant, paid for a three-course meal, and then someone walked over and took away your appetizer? I previously played this game on another platform, but I put it on hold because of technical issues. Now I've bought it again, only to discover that the prologue has been removed... from a STORY driven game. Your explanation was: "We've refined the prologue to be shorter and more engaging, letting players dive into the core of the game quicker." No, what you actually did was replace it with a one-minute recap video and remove roughly 30 minutes of interesting gameplay, all under the justification that new players should get into the game faster. Why wasn't there simply an option to skip the prologue? Add a "Skip Prologue" button. Players who don't care about story or played the game before it can skip it and watch the summary video if they want. Everyone else can experience the original prologue, immerse themselves in the world, get to know the characters, and enjoy the proper setup for the story. I genuinely cannot understand how removing part of the game was considered a good idea.
The first time i am ever seeing a game developer deletes their story game prologue. The changes they made actually makes some parts of The Beast story meaningless too. Bring back the prologue.
Genuinely love this game and would leave a positive review if they hadn't scrapped the prologue in the recent update. It was already skippable, leave it up to player agency so that players who care about the story can PLAY THE WHOLE STORY, and if someone is here just to skip dialogue and cutscenes then good for them, they already could. Removing the prologue entirely is unjustifiable, unnecessary and frankly an oddly stupid action to take. Techland please reverse this lunacy so I can change this review to "Recommended"

deleting 3/4 of prologue, and an update about multiverse? seriously? you fix the game and make it more playeble, fix your reputation as a game developer, add fetures that makes player happy, and then, out of all of a sudden, delete and remove important parts of the prologue and dialogue sequence for what? return of tolga and fatin for a multiverse scenario with another battle pass that no one gives a single crap. WOW, SO ORIGINAL TECHLAND, A MULTIVERSE ADVENTURE SCENARIO?? WOW, SO COOL, MY PUNY BRAIN COULD NEVER THOUGHT OF A SCENARIO LIKE THIS i would be fine with the battle pass thing and wouldn't just care and but deleting such a huge portion of the game? how the hell that's supposed to make game better? it just makes it worse and less understanding, like why deleting the part with Spike, and deleting the meeting with Cillian, when you can just SKIP THE PROLOGUE. THERE'S A BUTTON TO SKIP THE PROLOGUE, WHY DO YOU NEED TO MAKE THE PROLOGUE SHORTER WHEN YOU ALREADY LET PLAYERS SKIP IT?? this update maybe one of the worst Stay Human ever had, and if anyone reads this review, don't buy Stay Human, just play the first part or Beast.
For whatever reason cutting STORY content from a game which was released YEARS ago. Do the shareholders have both fists up your ***?
They've really done a great job improving the game. The only problem is the story is completely balls.
