About
Dungeon Settlers is a dark fantasy strategy game that combines colony simulation and dungeon crawling. As the leader of an expedition sent by the Guild, your mission is to explore, conquer, and destroy the dungeon which is the source of all calamities. To do so, you’ll need to build a settlement in the barren land and prepare your people for the dangers ahead.
This is a ‘Hardcore Strategy’ game. Train your members strategically by considering their equipment, skills, and traits, then form a party of up to four. In real-time with pause tactical combat with no turn or round limits, analyze enemy traits and patterns to outmaneuver them and achieve victory. But remember once dead, there is no coming back...

Build a settlement in the desolate land, isolated by magical erosion. Design rooms freely by placing walls and doors to meet your members’ needs—create bedrooms and dining areas, and set up a forge with anvils and smelters. Cultivate fields to grow crops. Manage your resources efficiently to survive, and produce rations and camping supplies for the next expedition. Unlock new buildings and equipment through research.

Each member has six major abilities and talents, along with dozens of combat and life-related stats. They also possess various traits based on race, background, and personality—such as a curious Lizardman with a drifter’s past. Recruit promising candidates and help them grow through leveling. Equip them with powerful equipments and carefully build a four-member expedition party with synergistic skill trees such as sword/mace/bow/fire magic.

Combat takes place in real time, but you can pause at any moment to think strategically. Plan your tactics using a variety of effects and mechanics—stun, bleed, burn, provoke, vulnerable, charge attacks, summons, and more. Position your party wisely, exploit enemy weaknesses, and utilize your skills at the right time. Even hopeless battles can be overcome with the right strategy.

Each dungeon expedition is randomly composed, with floors and rooms changing each time. Regions apply different random environmental effects. The deeper you go, the rarer and more valuable the resources become—but so do the threats. You’ll encounter the remnants of magical experiments, such as towering golems or acid-spitting monsters. Secure wood logs, herbs, gemstone veins, and mysterious mandrake. Trade with dungeon merchants, and face ancient tree that demand blood to bear forbidden fruit.

Reviews
Dungeon Settlers is a roguelite, colony management, RTS, dungeon crawler. I feel, kind of similar to Hades. It's a great game, though due to the early access state, content is a bit low, and there are some bugs. I have not experienced anything game breaking, but I had to release my lv 4 archer, because a certain legendary trait was unintuitively incompatible with the permanently scaling archer passive. Gameplay wise, I love it. Colony management is one of my favorite genres, and the RTS element keeps me engaged by requiring me to move, cast spells, explore. Currently, there are three floors, realistically 4 levels, and a few legendary traits. Enough content to last a player about 20-40 hours, depending on how fast you want to progress. Overall, I do recommend the game despite some bugs because it does feel well polished otherwise. I'm excited to see what other content is added in the future and I believe with more classes, traits, abilities, and dungeons, the squad building and management aspects can really branch out and become very, very indepth.

Note: you cannot actually settle within the dungeon. Not permanently. You make a base on the surface and delve into the dungeon. You can build whatever inside the dungeon, but as floors are randomly generated when you get to them, there's no way to make a permanent settlement down there. Which is a shame. With a name like 'Dungeon Settlers', I'd have expected we'd get to... you know, settle the dungeon. That aside, it's a good game. Right now it could probably still do with some rebalancing; things get much, much easier the moment you get access to some sort of healing/defensive mage character. And it's missing a few useful features similar games like Rimworld have like automatically speeding up time when everyone's sleeping.

很喜歡這種地城探險風格 希望npc有專屬符文,也能新增一些瑣碎對話 已經通關一輪,很期待後面更新內容
Early Access Review. Short and sweet. Just some initial impressions after 80 hours: Is it fun? If this is your style of game, very much so. Definitely worth the buy at this price point. Now then, the meat: It is a cross between colony sim and a dungeon explorer. Procedural dungeons and a great mix of possible traits and classes. There are random and scripted events and missions (Build this, research that, hunt this or that for various NOCs). Very fun game and a great time to get in on the ground floor. The dungeon crawl is like the "Stoneshard" game, also in early access, with similar graphics, but the ability to take a party of four. Stability? I have 80 hours in already and have had ZERO crashes whatsoever. A slow load here and there (less than a minute still). One little annoyance is that your settlers can "build themselves into a corner" and end up finishing a wall, on the wrong side where they get stuck and cant exit. You can just demolish what they built and they can get out. a tad of a micro there, but wastes you maybe 10 seconds once you realize what they did. You also get your resources back. A minor dungeon pathing issue is that telling someone to attack in a bottlenecked area can cause them to path the long way around. Not an issue if you run two frontliners, a Spear (who can strike behind the front rank), Mage (Three schools, fire, water, nature, crowd control, heal, damage dealer) or Archer. Again, minor annoyance in crowded corridors. The enemy does this too, so you CAN split them up as they will try to path around the other way. The play time right now is bottlenecked with a limited tech tree, there is enough there to make it interesting. If you hire someone to stay back at camp while you explore, they can research for you, mine, farm, craft, etc. Early game can be a little rough, the struggle for food and healing is real. Get cooking and farming going. If you are struggling, you can make emergency food out of grass lol. Gives your people a mood debuff, but it's fine for when you are in camp. Improve your settlement with three types of construction, Logs, finished plans, or stone. The higher the type the better mood boost. Anyway, initial impression is great. I want more of everything!
still very very early but based on what i have seen from the skill trees there's a lot of good ideas that aren't %more damage unconditional boring upgrades, even though some nodes like that exist there are either tradeoffs requiring mindful decision making or are unique, skilltree pathing is also very mindful and i trust the devs are able to properly balance and design around decisions like that, i am worried about longevity in regards to the playthroughs? hopefully content is fleshed out and further developed i can see this game becoming very deep or very shallow depending on how much there is to chew on which would be very disappointing given the mechanics and systems in place
처음엔재밌었거든요? 근데 점점 재미없어지고 피곤해지는 느낌이에요
