i have a LOT of hours with this game and i absolutely LOVEEEEEEEE it, not saure what it is about this game but if you like noble fates and going medieval, this game is for you i have spent hundreds of hours on this game, this is the kinda game i love to support, i cant believe its only made by one guy, yes its in the VERY early stages but even than, its easy to get lost in this game!!! if i could support this developer in any way i will patraeon or coffee!!! im not joking i desperately want this game to progress and not die, even at this point the game is absolutely wonderful and worth every penny if not a hell of a lot more! BUY THIS GAME AND SUPPORT INDIVIDUAL TALENTED AMAZING DEVELOPERS WHO DO GREAT GAMES FOR LOVE!!!! but only if the game deserves it, and this game does!!!!!=)
i was gonna wait so i can write something that could truly show the appreciation i have for this game, when i first bought the game its was amazing an a fresh take on a genre that i enjoy so much, the depth of the possibilities, from managing your own people to opening an inn/bar to deal with customers, being a farmer to taming animals, physical fights as well as magic, with so much potential oozing from the game at this point, then.... mining comes in, i was literally thinking a few days before that update hit, wouldn't it be great if i could mine for resources being i had emptied the map XD the developer is very responsive an willing to listen to your thought an possible ideas, i shared my thoughts an seen for myself that this solo developer has a real passion for this game an wants everybody to enjoy it just as much as they have making this game, its clear to me that this game has so much potential, from the mechanics (new and old) built into the systems to the possibilities of what could be added for more in depth construction an stylising/cosmetics to make your settlement how you like. GBL keep up the good work XD this review will be subject to changed when needed to better suit the ever possible changes or additions to the game XD
Played a lot of colony sims. Been looking for one like this. Solo Dev but already solid enough for hours of playtime. Seems like a passion project that still has the passion part. Go ahead and invest in this one!
I absolutely love Colony Management games and this one is really fun. It's pretty in depth but no so complicated that the player gets overwhelmed, and the dev is pretty responsive to players in the discord. Many updates are pushed out to improve and fix stuff. The game is well worth the purchase price.
This is a gem that is quite a bit rough. The developer seems to be going solo and it kind of shows. At the same time you can tell this has been a passionate project for them. It has a lot of features that when working are pretty neat. Game also has quite a few minor bugs that can get in the way of fun. I feel like the developer just needs some time and maybe a bug reporting system akin to that of Subnautica or Going Medieval. One that takes a screenshot and gives detailed information on the back end. I have chosen to support this developer because even if it takes him 15 years it will still be better money spent than DayZ.
This game is actually a lot of fun, even at it's current development state. Also the developer, 1 person, is very reactive and responds quickly to feedback and tries to fix bugs quickly. I can't wait to see what new they will develop in the coming years.
I like that you can build your own empire, grow, fight off enemies that randomly attack, survival skills, and research further. I haven't seen the reproduction yet but have seen others come to my empire to join me. I don't like how scarce food is in the game. Not many wild animals but they do come to the plain at times. Would be better to be more of an open field to cross into other empire territories at some point. Another thing is the demolish buildings, placed items, and such. It doesn't seem to be working. Though I do see a red mark as if someone is going to go demolish it but no one ever does or the in the middle of other task. A side from that building any buildings close to a gate to surround the area will not allow you to build the back walls or close off the building entirely. Even if you rotate the pieces where the green arrow is pointing toward the wall showing the side the builder will stand to build. I will continue to play further. Currently in the middle portion of the research.
Damn, i really wanted to like this. Love the top-down runescape vibe but refunded very fast. The user interface needs another year or more, camera controls very clunky. Yikes. Keeping in mind, this is a solo-dev game. Definitely going to keep following it but I can't say I would enjoy what it is now. It has some neat potential for what it's setting out to do
If you liked Rimworld you'd like this alternative. While it is still very very much in Early Access and quite a few bugs, the developer seems to be working diligently on trying to get them resolved and add new features. If you're willing to support this solo dev and understand the game will take time to develop and evolve, I certainly recommend picking it up, however, if you prefer games that are more complete and not buggy and helping to report bugs and see the project grow, you might want to wait before buying. Myself, I like to help the process along and find the bugs and report them to help out, which is why I am enjoying it, but I wanted to be transparent so people make the best informed decision and avoid possible disappointment, Looking forward to this being the next breakout colony survival game, keep up the great work dev!
Simple things just don't work. UI is very rough, and not at all user friendly. When I watched 4 characters all fighting each other pushing a door back and forth, all stuck and unable to re-path, I was done. It's just not very good unfortunately. Great idea, but the execution is below amateur. Too bad.
