Has really taken the stress off map creation for my DND games. Easy to create your own and the number of community creations that can be used/adapted is invaluable. What sets this apart from other building software for me is the consistent updates and communication

I cannot draw, and my tabletop campaigns invariably meander through all sorts of nonsense no sane cartographer could be expected to have provided ready-to-go maps for. I almost never actually use the "out of the box" rooms and layouts provided by Dungeon Alchemist, because I usually have a clear idea of what I want, but it is an intuitive and fun map / image generating tool which is providing an ever-increasing library of exciting and thematic backdrops to my campaigns' encounters. Does it always have exactly what I need? No, obviously not. But it almost always has something close enough to do the job, and there is a vibrant creator community on Steam which has all kinds of assets and tricks up their sleeves. The ongoing development is awesome, and in the age of easily-accessible AI slop, I am grateful for such an engaging and powerful tool to use as a GM without resorting to theft and irreparable environmental harm.

DIssapointing product. I bought it for using in VTTs but the scope is very limited, good for small maps, but I was expecting to be able to make large maps like Dungeon of The Mad Mage, but in the end it stills takes a TON of effort and the art style is inadequate for RPGs.
