Works well and makes pretty maps
Excellent for maping vtt maps for Fantasy Grounds.
Expensive but does a very good job. Created a complete dungeon map for roll20 in minutes.

This is by far my favorite thing to do on steam for making maps for our DND group. Some of the placements of things are slightly frustrating. Like patterned floor tiles only work on certain spaces and things snap to the grid at inopportune times. But the selection is amazing for items, the generation of rooms can make map making very quick and easy. And if you want to start with empty rooms you can and make it completely your own. This works with Hero Forge so we can actually bring the characters inside the maps. Its amazing! 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who likes making maps for TTRPGs.
It was good. Now it's the best.
La dernière mise à jour transforme un système déjà excellent en une pépite unique. Si vous aimez les plans et les 3d pour vos jdr, c'est incroyablement beau et facile à manipuler. Je commente rarement, mais là ça vaut chaque centime investi.

Hard to decide whether to give it thumbs up or thumbs down. I'm changing my review of this product based on the incredibly responsive developer responding to my initial review. This software has many great features. It has awesome features. It truely is fast to create a location. To see AI used effectively by a small developer to populate maps is quite remarkable. The assets are good and growing. There seem to be many wonderful maps shared by the community. My initial concern was mostly focussed on some perceived limitations of Dungeon Alchemist for physical maps allowing miniature use in my role playing campaign. You can't fully rotate a map in three dimensions. You can only have one map open at a time, which makes aligning multiple maps more challenging. The developer has acknowledged full rotation is a development goal. The recent update definitely improves physical printing of maps, by automatically chopping up a map to paper size for printing, and is a welcome addition. I'll be participating in the Discord in future to see how this software develops.
Fantastic software! I use it all the time to create great atmospheric maps. Graveyards, battlefields, mansions, castles, wilderness, cities - it does everything and really simply. Its latest update, adding floors/basement support, is amazing! I've been recommending this software to my fellow dungeon masters for some time now. It really is a must have!
Does more than enough for most maps and is always improving. the most recent update is a massive step forward. Worth the price if you need a lot of maps for your games. Works very well with Foundry VTT. The workshop community put out very good maps as well.
