About

Haruka and Shiina used to be inseparable. They grew up together, went to school together, and ardently believed that they would always be best friends.
That was before Haruka’s breakdown, however.
Worn down by her demanding job as a nurse, Haruka abandons her old life, and her old best friend, and moves back in with her parents. Believing herself to be a failure, and too ashamed to see Shiina again, Haruka retreats into herself and her depression, and despairs.
It isn’t until almost five years later that Haruka and Shiina reunite. At Shiina’s behest, the pair of them make an impromptu trip to a favourite haunt of theirs from their youth: an outdated theme park on the outskirts of Nara called Dreamy Planet.
Dreamy Planet was once a popular park, but it has since fallen into disrepair. The park was closed down several years ago, owing to dwindling attendance numbers, and it has been left in a miserable state: the spinning teacups, the roller coasters, and the carousel all left to rust.
Together again, Haruka and Shiina pick their way through Dreamy Planet’s carcass, and as they do, they recall fond memories from their past. Dreamy Planet might be beyond salvaging, but perhaps their relationship can still be saved – if only Haruka can find the courage to finally tell Shiina how she really feels.

About 40k words of text (approx 2-3 hours of reading)
A kinetic story with no choices/branches
Custom character artwork
A large variety of gorgeously rendered backgrounds
A custom OST
A dreamy, nostalgic tone
A very cute (and very tortured) heroine ♥
Please note: While this is a yuri story about a romantic relationship between two women, the protagonist, Haruka, is engaged to a man throughout the duration of the story. This is an important plot point, which gets referenced several times.

Dreamy Planet is a very good visual novel game with a beautiful story. The graphics are nice and the soundtrack is relaxing... The ebi-hime games are really great!!! I highly recommend it. 💗
This is a short but still overwritten yuri story about feelings of helplessness, powerlessness, love, and friendship. There are multiple phrases, similes, and metaphors throughout that try to leverage the two characters being nurses by using medical situations or health issues that largely fall flat. As a medical professional myself I thought this story would at least somewhat delve into the interpersonal issues that may have led to Haruka leaving her job, but they're just hinted at. This is genuinely a very deep issue that I've personally yet to see explored in almost any piece of media. I thought with this description talking about the protagonist being worn down by their demanding job that we would get more than just "I wasn't a very good nurse, I quit five years ago" which was repeated a few times. Despite the descriptions of medical issues that I think are intended to appear as how a character sees them, they're simply narration to the reader, sometimes even about the protagonist herself. They were not used terribly effectively either, with one such issue likening a person needing to have sex to a terminal patient clinging to life. And while it's a very real thing for medical professionals to sometimes have flashbacks or see things or compare to work situations in various unwelcome times, it was never leveraged that way, it was simply comparisons, similes, and metaphors that largely felt like they were used to remind you that the characters were nurses at best, and at worst they were very poorly chosen. Past that, the story feels overwritten at times, purposefully utilizing language that - while grammatically correct - feels unnatural, as well as some long-winded descriptions that do not add anything except word count. There is a lot of talk about the characters' pasts, but it's mostly just references to events and descriptions of how the characters feel about them. I think this would've been so much more effective utilizing even short flashbacks, or delving into a few of the more important events more than mentioning a lot of them. There were also quite a few BG's used, but not many CGs and there were no sprites other than the two main characters, which with the story that was present the assets could have been redirected elsewhere. There is a lesson here, and the story takes a decent path through it regarding love, and one's feelings of powerlessness and hopelessness and how a person can get caught up in that. I personally found the ending somewhat lacking, and per the notes the original ending was worse. I do think the story is somewhat relatable for those who feel stuck in life, especially for those who feel like they have no good options to choose from. Last thing I'll mention, the BGM is pretty bad. Some of it is fine, but the majority of it clashes with the writing to the point where it negatively impacts the story. It seems like it's trying to be understated and minimalist, but does not manage to do so, instead feeling like random changes in tone in one song and uneven volumes and tones. It's the only VN to date that at any point I decided to completely turn the music off. I didn't like this visual novel, but I can see how some people may find this touching or at the very least relatable. I can't recommend this though, but admittedly I am sure some people could enjoy it.
I will always defend Angst and Drama. Enough fluff I want to feel pain! xD (fluff is fine too)
Very nice vn. Everything was nice. Now I wish for a tanned friend who can listen to all my problems
My simple review of this game: CONS: The music PROS: Everything else.
Really underestimated this one for some reason, even though I should know better than to doubt the queen of lesbian cannibalism. Save me, mentally ill 30-ish comphet lesbian housewife, mentally ill 30-ish comphet lesbian housewife save me
didn't know what 2 expect going in but was really surprised by how good this was, story is really engaging and the visuals were great. the music scared me at first but honestly it really helps set the atmosphere. i think it's worth full price :D
