Very fun and interesting. Bunny hopping and strafing is very fun once you learn how to do it properly. Movement is very well done however two problems is the grind for gubbs isn't enjoyable, and the game isn't very good at teaching you how to play properly. (I had to read two guides to figure out what the items do and how to b-hop properly since it's far different than a source game. Having to hold W and buffering jump inputs to go fast) Things that should be changed I think is making enemies in higher levels drop more gubbs per kill. The desert area and the purple war area have much much higher difficulties yet they're on par with the aero zone with how much gubbs you'll usually get. Another thing that confuses me is the I-frames creatures get? It doesn't really increase difficulty just acts like a minor annoyance that makes killing stuff feel more sluggish than it should. Finally the final boss and both of her phases. The first phase is REALLY GOOD I love the race against the giant leviathan to kill the hearts. Could use some more tweaks and some more explaining but it's amazing. The second phase however... Very poor, it's a small area in a game where you've been b-hopping at mach 6 up until that point, and the best way to beat her is to just hop in a circle and spam projectiles at her. The second phase needs major touch ups since it leaves the ending of the game feeling boring. Despite how cool the first phase was. Secondly, for new players. The tutorial isn't good at teaching new players. I struggled with b-hopping in my first few hours and didn't even get to most of the info boards in that area because of it. I wish there was practice enemies you could spawn in to get a feel for fighting the enemies in the first area along with a video showing players how to b-hop. Because if you can't b-hop properly you literally cannot beat the game. All and all it has a LOAD of problems but it's like a dish that has perfectly cooked pasta noodles that feel amazing but the sauce is like kranch for some reason. 7/10
Amazing art direction and gameplay I love everything this game is, only wish it was longer.
There is no such incredible game , the graphics ,the soundtracks even the movements are perfect this game is just different Play this game now !
Aside from the art this game kinda sucks. Mostly because it's a roguelite (the lite is that you can store currency)
Got the game as a Christmas present from a friend, and so far I've liked it quite a bit. While I've never really been a fan of games with "perma-death" or "rogue-like" mechanics where dying sets back your progress tremendously, this game's artstyle and gameplay loop kept me interested. I haven't actually beaten the game yet, but I've gotten pretty close and didn't prepare as much as I could've. The game *is* a bit unforgiving and repetitive, but it was neat being able to learn the game's mechanics and progression naturally rather than just looking up a guide for it. If you're into games where you're just flying around super fast and fighting hordes of weird-looking enemies, then I'd say give it a shot. Bonus points for the game being pretty lightweight to install and run as well.
