It's an OK game, more like dead cells than Hades, which is s a shame for me.

love the creativity of the game. And the refreshing casual tempo
Nice calming, yet challenging game with actually alot going on. Def worth this sale going on right now.

One of my all-time favorite roguelites. Graphic style and quality is fluid and dreamlike, music is pleasant and immersive, mechanics offer a wide variety of approaches to fit any play style, adjustable difficulty so you can really customize your experience. Plenty of unlockables, so there's always more to do and new things to try. Biggest complaint is that many of the character dialogues run very long, so I didn't follow a lot of them. It seems like an interesting story but I haven't been following it as well as I might have liked. Overall, very replayable, can't seem to put it down, highly recommend.
Meh
I originally got this game for free on Xbox game pass years ago. This was my first real intro to rougelite games and it has had a lasting impression on me. I haven't turned on my Xbox for years, but I still think of this game. It finally occurred to me to see if Steam had it, and I'm glad I did. Even though I originally got it for free, this was an easy $25 to spend.
On the surface this game looks simple and I would even say basic at first glance, but it's not. I would say it's like Hades on drugs, like a lot of drugs, and it knows the fanbase pretty well. So to put it simply It has tons of weapons for multiple playstyle, it focuses on simple map design (specifically interconnected cube zones) with multiple levels that have merchants, treasures, boss rooms, etc. The thing is, although that sounds pretty typical for a roguelike, it's how this game tightly stitches everything together to make the gameplay loop addicting. For example, at first each runs ends up being about exploring and seeing the game mechanics, but then it ends up turning into hunting for new gear and then it ends up turning into a hunt for better specs (like being able to leech a enemy, critical extinguishing enemies, or just making an op build - 3x opttic tracking ray that richochets off each enemy it touches), and then when you finally feel confident enough it ends up actually being about finishing a full run (the 6ish levels that there are). Even finishing the game keeps making you want more, and it delivers with harder difficulty, including new movesets for bosses', difficulty that actually is tacked on, and just more depth. It's hard to say anything back about Dreamscaper. I originally played it back in 2022 on xbox gamepass, but ended up buying it on Steam to see if I would still like it as much as I did back then, and I do. It's definitely not for the faint of heart since it's a challenging game that makes the roguelike elements something you have to conquer through patience and grinding, but upon doing so, you see some very creative way game design comes together. I look forward to a sequel if there ever is one.
