feel scammed
Not even worth $5
I picked this up because of being bored and looking for a roguelike and as most reviews are about ping issues and discontinued I'd like to take my time to let people know the game is fully local now so no ping issues. In my opinion if you are looking for a fun but cheap action hero roguelike then this is worth the 5 euro. Ive enjoyed hopping on and playing a few runs. Also people saying they cant level, you cant level in account but you can level up your heroes which is what the recommended level is about.
I play for little bit. ITs fun overall, but it lacks so much. i cant even level up. the fist stage recommend lvl 5. but there's no way to level up. i play the first stage anyway and got pretty far, but hasn't level up. like why. lacks so many game modes, pvp, arena, xp farm, gold farm, etc. but yah. its fun overall but not worth paying for it. ill try to get a refund.
I'm playing the single player version of the game and it is fun albeit a slow on progression or maybe I'm just not good. I'm playing with a controller but since theres only partial controller support, I have to use my mouse to navigate the main menu and when choosing power-ups during the gameplay. I'm looking forward to more and hoping that one day the game can be picked up get multiplayer back.
I've tried this game twice at this point and haven't been able to have fun with it. Kind of feels like it's going through the motions of being a game without truely understanding what makes a game fun - Also the way things are set up, it feels like it's prepping to nickle and dime the players as time goes on
So Co-op rouglike game. I only have .8 hours in this because I don't want to miss my chance to refund the game. I hate the fact you can't make a decent review of a title unless you fully commit to owning it even if you don't like it. i didn't try to play it with other player but in general... not impressed. I mean there are only demage dealers in the game. No tanks no Healers. Just 1 magic user 1 archer. and like 6-8 different melee fighters. 2 of which are lance the rest are "fighters" who use some type of sword. No story. Not quest. No background. Just go in and fight stuff. I realize the rougelike genre comes from an 80's title where they likly didn't have any adventure to go on and it was just play it as it is... but now we can actually add SOMETHING at the very least to give player a since of reason behind why they are playing. Spend in game gold to level up. which levels up the character... but not your account. Am assuming your account levels up when you survive a run. which you most likly won't do solo. Honestly want to play something where I am a healer and can actively keep my team alive. but most game avoid that because other player don't want to have to be dependent on someone else to help them survive and don't want to be responsible for each others well being in games anymore. And when there are heals its like group wide spam type stuff or things that make fights nigh impossible to lose. =/ If you just want a cheap beat'em up game or something to play with friend ONLINE [ not couch co-op because that is next to dead now a days] this title is pretty cheap. and there are plenty of C-cup - E-cup anime girls for you to pick even if you are playing on an isometric battle field and the jiggle is not very noticable.
This is a monumentally bad game and is utterly misleading on what to expect. I can see now how this had at one time likely been a solid foundation of an online co-op adventure and raid style battle combat game vaguely like Dragalia Lost was for iOS and Android. This though has been stripped of the online, not rebalanced in the slightest, and left you as a player alone with a small bag of coins to level up 1 of 3 open characters to lv5. The problem is that's not enough to finish even the first saga on normal, the second needs 15, and you as a player remain utterly stuck on Lv1 with no way to advance outside of a drip feed of a few tiny coins per battle but when it takes thousands to level one character up again (once you get one up to lv5) it's not just a slog, it's torture. I've put in for a refund, Steam should delist this hot mess.
I really respect devs decision to go singleplayer, one of the reasons I got curious and bought the game, however it's not a good game. This game doesn't respect the player, so this player will spend his time and attention elsewhere. Floaty combat, you don't feel anything from hitting and getting hit, it's just projectile & red zone spam (not just bosses, almost all mobs have ranged or aoe attacks that they spam non stop), you don't juggle/crowd control mobs, they eat your attacks like it's nothing and just use their big attacks, boring skills (lots of AoE DoT circles of varying sizes, even dashes drop pools of damage), weird design decisions (like on one character you dash one direction but the dash attack sends you to opposite direction, to deal AoE DoT damage, so you don't actually go where you want, you go right back at where you don't want and get hit), charge attacks are useless, takes 300 years to charge and gets cancelled by a single hit, movement is not sharp enough to support this kind of "hard" game. Even worse, it's still not balanced as a singleplayer game, and their solution is giving enough coin to level to 5 with one character, then it's back to grinding and the upgrade costs are brutal. Plus grinding is not fun, because fighting is not fun, also you don't get rewarded enough. One of those games that kills you in 1.5 seconds with million attacks and projectiles from all directions which one taps you or stunlocks you because "wow so hard game requiring very pro gamer skills" and you just cheese it to progress and don't have any fun. Only positives are the character designs, the map system and the mix/match passives rogue-like elements, wish they weren't buried under all that cheap, oh I mean 'hard' combat design...
