I had left a positive review but nevermind, ♥♥♥♥ this game. I just spent hours and hours doing a long ass quest to get a specific build item and it gave me a duplicate of the Forager scroll instead. Cool. What the ♥♥♥♥? What is wrong with this game? This has happened multiple times now with different quests. Random and often useless reward for long quest chains where guides say you get one thing but you don't.
I had such a really good review planned but that endgame part 2 just ruined it for me lvl 40 high end gear like maxed out, maxed out vocations hp items the whole lot, but those final bosses are a joke I got 1 shot by the last dragon for those stupid red portals that you use godsbane one, CAPCOM I really REALLY had mad respect for this game until you pull a "Souls" like at the last point the game was fun as hell until that point so thumbs down because that final part is a damn joke the constant getting 1 shot and stunned all the time is no fun for anyone.
Jogo muito bom, recomendo demais.
Having sat back down again to give it another shot (and in preparation for the Dark Arisen expac), it does truly feel like a repeat of Dragon's Dogma 1, down to the shoddy initial release and subsequent "tried again a few years later and really liked it" slow burn experience. The game does truly excel if you allow yourself to get into an adventuring mindset, pick an unexplored place to explore, and just let your wanderlust take over. If you try to min max everything about the game, you're just going to have a miserable time. The Health Loss mechanic might seem daunting at first, but playing it a while and seeing just how frequently the game has campsites dotted around the map and the amount of max health you do lose when taking damage, it does more to help keep things interesting instead of just bogging things down. The easiest solution to the health loss thing is just don't take unnecessary damage. Block, dodge, super armor, the game gives you plenty of tools to deal with whatever the game throws at you. The combat is also extremely fun, mostly when you start levelling up Vocations and unlock more moves/passives. Warrior can feel a bit bad until you unlock the momentum swing and perfect charge attack release upgrades, then it makes you feel like an absolute powerhouse that can just blow away groups of enemies and muscle through enemy attacks. The game also lets you play as a 7ft tall muscle mommy if you want.
:D
Fighting monsters is fun, but everything in between is just annoying. The world just feels unfinished, the npc's dont care if i beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of them, they dont care if i steal stuff in their house, they dont care if you pick them up and throw them around. Just play crimson desert intead.
