Reviews
nul
It might be a good game, but in terms of lighting, camera effects, and DLSS (or the AMD equivalent), it’s a disaster. I needed a mod to completely disable the vignette; chromatic aberration is an absolute eyesore anyway, but the eye adaptation—which seems tied to the camera rather than the character—really got on my nerves and strained my eyes after hours of trying to adjust to it. Even Nvidia filters offered only limited help. You’re standing in a meadow in brilliant sunshine, but then you turn the camera slightly and it looks like it’s past sunset; this shift happens constantly, with even the slightest camera movement. I thought there would be mods to fix this, but nope. You can brighten the dark areas, but then the bright areas get even brighter—and this happens every second. If you have an eye for upscaling artifacts, they’re glaringly obvious, and they cause eye strain too. It’s a shame; I was looking forward to what seemed like a cool fantasy adventure, but if my eyes hurt after just an hour because they’re constantly having to refocus, it’s simply unplayable.
-Tornate spesso a Melve.

Beautiful world. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ story and characters. Really fun combat system. Great enemy design. However, the game is not balanced well at all. There is low enemy variety and absolutely no enemy damage/damage resistance scaling so if you put any thought at all into party composition and synergies, the combat will become trivially easy 20-30 hours in. That might sound like a lot of time, but this is a large game so assuming you are not just rushing the story (it's not worth rushing, trust me), 20-30 hours is firmly in the midgame. For a game where the gameplay and world is supposed to be the main draw, having the gameplay lose all challenge in mid game kind of ruins the experience. If you're not looking for a challenge, though, the combat system and world are definitely worth experiencing.
