So, let me start by saying that this game IS enjoyable. And there are things I really do enjoy about it so far. But there are aspects of this game that are 100% certified DONKEY SH*T! -The massive sprawling map four times the size of the first game they advertised? It's a total lie. I'm only 26 hours in and I can already tell you that half of that map, that's right HALF, is covered by ocean. The other half is a C shaped land mass that is littered with impassable mountain ranges, rivers which will kill you the moment you go deeper than your waist and various other types of preventative environment. If you add up all of those factors and measure them against the landmass, I'd say about a QUARTER of the entire landmass is non traversable. That leaves you with a SLIVER of that "four times larger than Dragons Dogma" map. Straight Garbage. -You can climb your enemies, that's awesome right? Wrong. The moment you jump on an enemy and climb him like a Discovery Zone in the 90s, your stamina bar starts depleting and it'll freak out causing you to stop climbing and hang on while still depleting your stamina bar. Once he stops thrashing you can climb again, but by the time you reach anything meaningful to attack you have to jump off before you suffer the 10 to 20 second stun-lock penalty for depleting your stamina bar. Straight garbage. -You get pawns to fight with you, heal you and pull you out of stun-locks while your compadres beat on the enemy with magic, arrows and pure brute force. Awesome right? Not really. Go fight a dragon and watch that AI breakdown like organic matter in battery acid. They don't seem to know what to do with breath attacks so they stand there and eat a wall of fire while attacking the dragons pinky toe. You thought you were traveling with Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas. But what you really got was Corky from Life Goes On burning down his dads restaurant because he didn't know which way to turn the fu*king knob on the oven. Straight garbage. ... And I'm only 26 hours in...
I have had this game for over a year before i actually gave it a go. 12 hours in, its a game that feels like it is about to get real good....then doesnt. I think its because its a linear story based game for all intents and purposes. I did not find a single thing exploring that was useful, just gold/gems to sell for gold, and every now and then a weapon/armor that was as good as the second best one in the shop. I could have just stayed on a lazer line to main quest objectives so far, and i would have zero difference in my setup. It was fun for a bit...found a boss here and there....lots of deep cave structures.... but nothing paid off....The gameplay was ok, the fights were ok.....the atmosphere was pretty solid. Game was fine, but never raised itself above...fine. If its in a 50% off sale, yeah i guess it is fine.
Сделал в напарники жирного коротышку фурри Бэбэя. Теперь бегает и ворует всё что не приколочено
In all, a 'mixed bag'. It has some great features like a large, and interesting world to explore, loads of quests, RPG systems to develop your character but this is combined with big overcomplex and convoluted game management systems eg the Pawn system (perhaps designed to cater for the on-line community) and poor and tedious combat systems where the Pawns often get in the way, and to add to it I find them just very annoying !!! The combat is anything but precise - it is certainly does not have a Dark Souls like combat system, or even Blades of Fire or Hellpoint combat system!!! It has decent graphic and nice music with fairly good audio and sound effects. It also has a basic story with lots of NPCs some are just fillers, lots of side quests [too many ???]. I have had no computer crashes with this game, so far, but a number of relatively minor software bugs have appeared here and there. In conclusion, it just about reaches my Steam standard to place it in the 'Recommended' category - but only just !!!! (I can understand why the overall Steam reviews place it in the "Mixed" category as it has lots of negative reviews, about c44,400 as at July 2026 !!!) Best to buy on sale, like I did for £20.
Ма, дивись, я Гутс із Берсерка!
No, no, GOD, No! NOOOOOO!!! Fix the game, pls
DRAGON'S DOGMA 2 DARK ARISEN IS REAL. NEVER GIVE UP HOPE FELLOW ARISEN.
Great game, cant wait for dlc
