We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Wonderful game nice art style updated classic
The best way to play a classic. The story is bare, but had some genuine surprises. The game design felt a bit dated, but it's a classic for a reason. If you go in expecting to play a somewhat touched up classic game, I think you could be in for a good time. For me, it was at its best when I was just grinding up my party and pushing through a new dungeon.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is a visual masterpiece, plain and simple. The presentation here is top-tier, featuring a charming art style that perfectly blends nostalgic pixel work with a gorgeous, living world. Everything from the new looks and effects of the attacks to the way the environments are rendered all look amazing. It’s not just about the eye candy, the addition of voice acting and some genuinely touching moments in the story breathe new life into this classic journey. Exploring this reimagined world is a blast, and the fundamentally good combat keeps things engaging while you soak in the atmosphere. However, beneath that shimmering coat of paint, this is still very much an NES style game. A major hurdle is that most of the adventure involves playing as empty vessels of your making, which can make the journey feel a bit hollow compared to modern RPGs. You spend a good 2/3rds of the game going around collecting orbs before finally fighting the big evils of the world. It’s a loop that feels predictable and a bit too repetitive at times. While the combat system is solid, it unfortunately lacks the QOL and new features we’ve come to expect from modern day turn-based titles. Ultimately, this is easily the best way to play this game, but it’s a gorgeous remake that is still being held back by archaic gameplay styles. It’s a wonderful trip down memory lane, but it could have used more evolution to truly bridge the gap between 1988 and today. It is fun, polished, and breathtaking to look at, but because it stays so tethered to the past, it’s a solid 7 out of 10.
Still a classic, and the new art style looks incredible. I wish they hadn't gone quite so far in toning down the difficulty, like making Zoom and Evac cost nothing to cast and even letting you cast Zoom indoors, which basically means Evac is completely redundant. Also would have been nice to be able to switch between the old and new soundtracks.
No, no realmente, depende.
Last time I played this was on the Gameboy Colour. So the graphics have improved slightly! Fun JRPG! A proper classic!
