Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Its just so nostalgic. great game.
Great remake
This is what I like to see with remakes. Still keeps the nostalgia feeling while adding lots of QoL improvements. And if you've played Dragon Quest games before, you know they are needed.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It takes everything good about the previous DQIII revisions (minus the Pachisi tracks) and combines it with new visuals, voice acting, new character development and more use of minor sub characters who are previously established. Combat also has taken some queues from "future" entries and been brought here adding variety in classes. This is a perfect entry point for newcomers as well. If you're turned off by post-modern FF as well and want something closer to older 90's FF then you now have the best version of the game which gave FF it's inspiration.
I recommend this game but be forewarned it's one of those old school RPGs where the player is required to spend some time grinding levels to stand a chance against the late game bosses.
great
Absolutely gorgeous remake of a stalwart classic. I bought on sale and is easily worth the price I paid.
I really liked this game.
The Remake is great, some quality of life gorgeous visuals and the new class is very strong, the first 15-20 hours of this roughly 30 hour game are good, but the late to endgame is so awfull that it ruined the game for me, you are getting spamed with AOE spells and abillities and AOE sleep, paralysis, fear or instant death in the form of Whack and Thwhack it just isnt fun
It's always weird to give a thumbs down on a game I spent 30 hours with. This is a very well done remake of a 1988 NES game. The art, the setting, and the music are all top notch. The remake makes great strides in bringing quality of life changes to the game. And in many ways, those changes make this a much more playable and enjoyable game than it ever was. The remake can't undo this game's age however. Like many have said, the endgame grind is a slog. And as I was making my way through it, I realized that I was only playing because of the Art, the Setting, and The Music. The combat is basic, the characters are forgettable, and the story never drew me in. It just wasn't enough in the end for me to keep playing. There is a good reason why there is a 10% achievement gap between entering the final world of the game (54%) and beating the final boss (45%).
