Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

There isn't much that was not already said about this game. I ended up buying it on sale and I already knew full well that I'm getting into. I think I will be able to finish it. In the meantime I can only reinforce what was already clear by most: Pros: 1. The visuals are dop dead gorgeous (the environment is one of the best I have ever seen, the hair and the fabric physics are really ground breaking). 2. The music in Bioware level of awesome and fitting 3. The combat is rather fun Mixed: 1. The characters are extremely hit or miss. You can get used to most of them and even appreciate it, but there are always a few that simply just look goofy AF. Like very goofy. But if the lighting is right, the shot is good and the character is lucky then it's good. 2. Most of the woke ♥♥♥♥ can be ignored or stomached. The clips have already prepared you for the worst of it, in game the "worst" part is that races don't really have a racial identity this way, but you can get used to it in this very washed out fantasy. At least I could. 3. You can tinker a lot with builds but they don't really have that much of an identity. Ultimately the major specializations in the game are rather odd, but I can only talk about the mage path. I enjoyed this more in DA:I. Cons: 1. The writing is atrocious. The story in itself is fine, but the dialogues are out of the level braindead. Thankfully you can skip line by line and I did use that a lot already. It is cringeworthy, clunky, preachy, unrealistic and it treats players like a 5 year old or worse. Every minute when there is a dialogue you are explained about the same thing over and over and over again. Example: - You see a very clearly ominous and deserted place - Character A remarks it is usually not like this and it looks deserted - Character B replies it looks deserted - Character A says it looks desered - Character C says it is ominous - Character A says normally it's not like this (I wish I was kidding this is an exact dialogue about 1 hour in, but it is not really an exceptional thing they keep hitting you with the same). 2. This game obviously killed the Dragon Age franchise and it is in no shape or form seems to have taken anything from the previous games, but the name. The story, while standing alone and at its foundation, is decent it already is changing several part of the canon. The choices in the past games made are ignored, the returning characters are laughable redesigns with zero of their original personalities. Speaking of design the game went for this odd bobblehead disney look, with no gore, for no real reason as well. 3. This is sold like an RPG. I'm not so sure. The game is fully linear with choices that doesn't seem all that much choices. Although this was the case with a lot of the previous BW games apart from some major choices as well, but the attempt to appear like one instead of embracing "yeah we are an action adventure game" feels shady and fake.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The writing is so bad, its cringe. The actors are way too emotional and weak and the trans stuff really does take away from the game (I thought I wouldn't mind it, but it's WAyyy too much)
对这部作品无话可说,我以为质量效应仙女座就是底线了,这部更是重量级,灾难之作。我唯一后悔的事就是捏脸花时间太长,随便一玩就不能退款了,即便如此,也玩不下去了,一坨。
Feels like they handed a group of immature fan ficton writers the secret lore bible of the DA universe and tasked them to burn through all the unanswered mysteries in preparation for a reboot.
Played when it came out and was too disheartened to review but I was thinking about the game again and I was so filled with rage I had to leave a bad review. Extremely souless, every aspect of the setting that was dark or interesting has been sanded down. Companions lack personality, are all just vaguely nice people with no interesting relationships with each other or real flaws (except for Taash, who still suffers from some bad writing but is honestly the closest to companions from previous Dragon Age games). Initially I thought it was fun because of how flashy it is but as you play you just realize there is no substance or heart at all. The only part that was really worth it is the final quest, which did feel very cool. Not worth everything to get up to that point. And all of that is not even mentioning the fact that previous choices don't matter at all, killing the life of the setting. Even if you know it's bad but think you'll give it a shot cuz you liked the other games and want the ending to the story, I would strongly suggest you don't bother. I played through the whole thing and regret buying it at all, and I went in with a very open mind.
Every iteration of a Dragon Age game is different. My young 13 year old heart was broken when DA 2 was released. It was not the sequel I had dreamed of and it taught me a valuable life lesson about expectations. Since then, I have learned to check out trailers and reviews before purchasing a game. Veilguard was no different. I knew what I was getting into. It's an action adventure game that drank the Marvel Kool-aid and added rpg elements. And with those expectations, I enjoyed my experience. Therefore, I given Veilguard a recommendation. However, as many people have said, the writing is inconsistent and forced, and that inconsistentancy is very noticeable. You'll be hard pressed to overlook it and it does cheapen the overall experience. The real crime here, in my humble opinion, is how quickly the developers/publishers abandoned this game. It's not a bad game, it just didn't land with its audience. To appease this audience, there are a number of little fixes/patches they could have implemented. As an example, dialogue options could have been edited in places to better reflect what your Rook will say. This is a minor grip, but one that could change the tone/and or create a smooth experience. Alas reader, they did not. Questions remain, will we see a return of Dragon Age? and if it does, will I return to Dragon Age? *Edit* Spelling
