Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

I understand that this largely comes down to personal preference, but to me the combat in this game is tolerable at best and unbearably miserable at worst. I think I've given it a fair shake, I've given myself time to adjust and learn, but I absolutely hate it and that's my truth. I love turn based RPGs and I love fighting games, but this is the worst of both worlds. It manages to be boring and stressful simultaneously: truly an achievement.

I see a lot of posts about how Origins needs a remaster, or that it's impossible to run without mods, ect. I ran through the whole game, vanilla, all the way through and through all DLCs in 2026 on a modern low-end laptop with no issue. I know my experience isn't everyone's, but I thought I'd put this out there. Great game.

Best RPG ever.

This game to this day remains the best CRPG I have ever played, it is so amazing and fun and I cannot recommend it enough if you enjoy RPGs, fantasy, adventure and well written stories!

Perhaps the best RPG before Baldur's Gate 3

Прекрасна гра яка познайомила мене з жанром рпг та фентезі. В принципі перша мною зіграна гра. Колоритний, з цікавою історією, грубий, небезпечний,прекрасний Ферелден став для мене ще одним додом до якого я буду повертатись протягом життя. Смачні локації, цікаві та живі персонажі. Проста, але неймовірно захоплива історія наповнена побічними квестами та завданнями, кожного разу я в ній зустрічаю щось нове, з кожним роком сприйняття якої змінюється, наповнюється новими сенсами. Приємна оку графіка навіть на сьогоднішній день, витримані кольори, приємна деталізація, красиві дизайни персонажів та предметів. Як приємно для мене брязкає броня. А МУЗИКА ОКРЕМИЙ ВИД МИСТЕЦТВА Inon Zur неперевершено впорався з атмосферою кожного свого твору і я мов сама стаю частиною цього світу. ОДНОЗНАЧНО УСІМ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ! I wished they made a Sequel

Very fun The game has really good customization, choices matter and all the characters are interesting to learn about and talk to, but would compliment this games replayabilty but when i stared a new run after i got through the prolouge all my saves got corrupted even all my saves from my frist run and Dlc's, i tried fixing them but both validating steam files and Fixing libary did'nt work, I heard some people had problems with crashing not cororping files, that wasn't that big of a problem for me so it might a thing with my computer. over all dispite all my techincal problems the game was one of the best rgp experices in my life it made me love the world so mutch that im cosidering buying the sequals though I heard there consideribly worse.
