Downfall

Yeah it's Silent Hill 2 fanfic but it's damn good Silent Hill 2 fanfic. Konami!! Give Harvester Games a Silent Hill spinoff already! I also can't think of another story that treats bulimia with this same gravity. Made me very uncomfortable in a good way. Scarier and more creative than The Cat Lady but also less cohesive on the whole.

i honestly liked this game a lot, it was very fun to play. joe and harrison's voice really pissed me off though. i definitely enjoyed the cat lady more, but that might change after doing another playthrough to get the 'downfall' ending and playing the entire trilogy. 10/10 game

Decyzje, które przychodzi nam podejmować, autentycznie bolą, a klimat szaleństwa i makabry wylewa się z ekranu. Jeśli podobało Wam się The Cat Lady, to jest to pozycja absolutnie obowiązkowa!

Played and loved "The Cat Lady". Went straight to this one after it and what can I say: It just does not click with me. 2 hours in and I dont like the narrative and dont like the voices. Way too cryptic for my taste. And in a way It feels more like "maniac mansion".

A movie-like experience that's hard to forget, I remember watching videos on it over and over again and finally picked it up and played through it myself. It's got to be my favourite Harvester game. Soundtrack and visuals are sublime, the atmosphere gets ingrained in you and you feel lost in its world. I didn't realise how many parallels it shared with (or references to) the obvious horror comparison "The Shining" until I saw Joe axing down a door because it really feels like it stands on its own. A lot of the themes explored aren't subtle or new but they discuss mental illness in a few interesting ways, most of the characters treating it like an unstoppable force separated from ones self rather than passing issues you can out-think. A complex main character, who wants to do good but in the wrong way is always interesting to see. Wish the soundtrack was back on Spotify, especially micAmic's stuff!

Maybe not impressive graphically, but the music, atmosphere and story are still great. Agnes is the best.
