Very good game. Cool story. Good art, good voice over. A little too much back and forth with the Lift. use a guide.
Gry od Pana Remigiusza Michalskiego grzechem byłoby nazwać innym słowem niż arcydzieło. Druga część z trylogii Devil Came Through Here zaskoczyła mnie swoją bogatą symboliką, szczegółowymi nawiązaniami do The Cat Lady i jak zwykle cudownym stylem graficznym. Gra nieco krótsza fabularnie od pierwszej części z serii, ale niemniej emocjonująca, zapierająca dech jak i mrożąca krew w żyłach. Zdecydowanie polecam!
I just finished this game with every achievement, and honestly, it was an amazing experience. Gameplay-wise, I definitely recommend saving often because I made multiple mistakes and had to replay parts from older saves. I also highly recommend getting the Golden Ending — in my opinion it’s absolutely the best ending and changes the emotional impact of the whole story. After finishing the game without the Golden Ending at first, I honestly felt depressed for a while because of how realistic and painful the struggles in this game felt. After getting the true ending, I felt much more relieved. The scenes with the letters especially stayed with me, and seeing how deeply Joe loved Ivy genuinely hurt in a beautiful way. This game will probably stay in my head for a very long time. It made me think about life, relationships, guilt, and self-destruction in a way very few games do. I also think it portrays eating disorders as something genuinely horrifying and destructive instead of romanticizing them, which I really appreciated. The entire game has this obscure, surreal atmosphere that I absolutely loved. The music is perfect and adds so much to the emotional weight of everything happening. After finishing Harvester Games’ previous game, "The Cat Lady", I hated Joe at first. But after seeing his perspective in "Downfall", I ended up loving him as a character. He’s incredibly well written and feels painfully human. Another absolute jackpot from niche games i played. I highly recommend this game. Just keep in mind that it contains heavy themes such as eating disorders, gore, suicide, and self-destructive behavior, so it may be difficult for sensitive players.
this game is kind of "much" but it navigated darker subject matter in a way that didn't feel cringeworthy to me for the most part. so different from its predecessor (the cat lady). you play as a more morally ambiguous character and navigate the broken fragments of his past, it doesn't shy away from your consequences and serves it to you up front. i love this game!!!
great classic, love it
