About
“Charge set”, my Alpha Team leader said.
Not knowing what lay in wait for us behind the door, I commanded, “Burn it” into the radio.
“Burning”, he replied. Sliding his finger into the pull ring of the ignition system, he pushed the pin in, turned it a quarter turn, and pulled.
The night was no longer silent as the sound of shredding timber filled the night. Windows shattered and pieces of glass fell to the ground. The walls around me shook. Where a door once stood, only smoke remained. Like water bursting forth from a dam, men flowed into the unknown.
--- from “Violence of Action” by Marty Skovlund

The sequel to the hit tactics game Door Kickers, Task Force North brings you the best portrayal of modern Close Quarters Combat and Tactics in a video game.
Control Special Operation Units in daring raids to rescue hostages, neutralize and capture terrorists in the fictional country of Nowheraki, Middle East.

Top-down tactics with Real Time gameplay but pause-at-will allows you to think, rethink, and still bite your nails as the action happens. And there's no turns, hexes or action points to manage.
The game models deadly threats and techs: suicide bombers, IEDs and Rocket-Propelled Grenades - but gives you tools to dominate: Light Machine Guns for suppressive fire, Night Vision Goggles to own the night and wall breaching charges to open new entry points.
Destructible environment lets you progress through the non-linear levels. If something stands in your way, tear it down! Any strategy is viable.
You can even choose the unit to deploy for any mission:
U.S. Army Rangers - firepower, numbers and skilled, coordinated violence.
CIA Special Activities Division - small unit of Covert Operators, able to go undercover but also deliver surgical strikes when needed.
Nowheraki SWAT - grit, improvised tech and gear borrowed from their US advisors.
It's NOT just skins and weapons, but distinct playing style, abilities and unit doctrines.
Should there be more units? Tell us what YOU think!

Play unique, hand crafted Operations or endless, procedural generated Tours of Duty. Each has their own challenges and rewards. For the bravest, mix it with the optional Iron Man Mode: troopers lost during campaign missions are gone forever.
Dead stays dead*, but memories are forever!
*only in Iron Man mode.

Online Co-Op Multiplayer is available, for up to 4 players. Each player brings his own Squad but you must work together to complete your mission. Choose your gear, draw your plans, strategize and combine your tactical prowess! In the end, you win or lose together.

Door Kickers 2 comes with over 90 handcrafted missions, plus Handcrafted and Generated Campaigns, Random Mission Generator and a Full-blown Mission & Level Editor to create your own content.
And you can share it with the world, or enjoy what others have built: The Steam Workshop already hosts over 7000 missions and is now open for Custom Units, Total Conversions and all sorts of wild stuff our modders are famous for.

With full SteamDeck compatibility and custom touch screen controls, you can play Door Kickers 2 anywhere! Enjoy unparalleled strategical freedom both ingame and in real life!

Jogo muito divertido e ao contrário do que li em outras análises, demorei pouco tempo para aprender os comandos.
Everytime i step foot in a building, everyone dies in 30 seconds. 10/10 would blow up my team again

Good.
Good game
Game has some cool sides like the campaign and coop, conversion mods too, but it also has huge problems with vanilla gameplay that are way more apparent when you start playing ironman dynamic campaigns (which feels like the intended way to play). This is a good game, but consider these warnings; 1. Enemy AI generally has faster aquisition and reaction time than your units, unless they have high XP. Theres more depths to this, like enemies that anticipate your position will fire as soon as you are seen but they will not if you caught them by surprise, weapon and sight types etc. Youre going to have a lot of cases where you lose people completely outside of your control because in all logical sense your ranger should be wining a fight when an enemy walks into a room and not look at the dude that looks like a terrorist with an AK in his hands and wonder if its okay to shoot him, otherwise dying from unlucky shots or player mistakes is completely fine, but youre going to have situations where you curse the game out because if makes absolutely no sense. 2. LMGs are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless I tried, i tried a lot to make use of them, theres only 1 use case for these, supressing through smoke, thats it. If you walk into a room with an LMG, you will die, the aim time and the time it takes to bring up your weapon after you hit a corner is ridiculous, the latter is understandable, but theres little excuse for the aim time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you over in a medium range fight. Turning a corner and supressing also gets you killed with little to no effect, because supression takes time, and while you set up or supress, youre not hitting targets all the time since youre shotting in a cone, and the enemy will dome you, so you have to use smoke to supress offensively, otherwise you can spray down a window or corridor, but in reality this is little effect, sometimes enemies will walk into the cone and die, but thats no different than just shooting normally, people in the rooms or doorways arent suppressed, they dont care, and would stay there whether youre supressing or not, if you bring LMGs, bec careful and do not use them offensively unless youre willing to take a really high risk of them getting shot. Those aside the game is pretty fun and addicting, controls and unit orders can be clunky, but the dynamic campaigns (tour of duty) on ironman are fun, your dead guys are dead, severely wounded or downed ops take days to return, so theres permanent risks to bad and rushed plans, and accidents, we really need a similar mode for COOP. If you like blowing walls up, blowing people up, kicking doors down, kicking a door into a suicide bomber and waching half your squad disappear, and accidentally throwing a frag on a hostage because you didnt actually read the mission type, this game is for you, featuring map destruction, gore, customization and planning, if you have patience and can power through the problems listed above, this game is for you.
