Всё же Дум - игра не про выживание, а про превращение чертей в кровавые ошмётки под забойную тяжёлую музыку. Кому-то может такое нравиться - спору нет. Но последующие части всё же вернули Думу первоначальный драйв

I remember it being the first video game in my life that scared me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when i started watching gameplay videos around 2009 - 2010. The game follows a highly diverse gameplay path compared to its predecessors and successors and i can tell you that this game went south if the rest north. Before reviewing, I wanted to play this game in its entirety so I downloaded the game and clicked the shortcut on the desktop. LOL, the game opened at the secondary monitor, what an unoptimized bloat lol. The game made me witness to how unoptimized it was a second time. I couldn't change the volume level, I couldn't go to desktop, the game literally welded itself to the monitor. Alright, fine. Close the game, research and find out that the older games had such problems because of limitations to hardware at the time. That would be totally OK for me if we were in the year 2004 (p.s. God, how I hope for that) when the game was released. I am writing this in 2026 and this game is commercially released on Steam for people to buy the game and have Bethesda, id, Zenimax, or whatever (I literally can't follow all the acquisitions anymore.) to earn pussilions of money money money. I mean, if you don't even tryna optimize your game unless you can earn money by doing so, you are not a very good company. Moreover, bfg edition still needs mods and bring the basics to life lol: - BFG edition is much brighter compared to the original DOOM 3. I wish we had a way to toggle which lighting setting we want. - BFG edition is full of ammo everywhere, which takes back the survival aspect of the original game. - As I said, the game is not optimized for modern hardware, which shows how affectionate the developers of this game are unlike valve. I like the game, and would recommend it to a selected group of gamers if not for the greediness of the developers.

DOOM 3 is dark and atmospheric, a neat shift away from the mania of the first two incarnations. This version maintains the OG's tone, but delivers a slower, more ominous experience. If you're adverse to action shooters (particularly the 2016 and 2020 high-octane retellings), this might be the perfect way for any horror fan to experience DOOM. Doom 3 introduced cinematic cutscenes and focused heavily on lore - way more than the originals - and delivered a harrowing story through quality voice acting. But fair warning: much of it is explored within menus and PDAs you find on characters, rather than shooter-oriented game play. The video and audio recordings can be listened to while traveling... but NPC emails will take some time. For some, your attention may wander. Plenty of recognizable monsters, new disturbing creatures, jump scares, and foreboding music provide a great way to tell this classic story. And you get the first two games! This unholy trinity of games, guns and guts is plenty of hurt for anyone.
