Dokimon: Quest was made in MonTamer Maker (MonMae, also know as Luna), which is platform/engine that was made specifically for making monster tamer games.
This engine continues to grow in it's uses and features thanks to the devs and helpful community. Therefore, the making of new Dokimon: Quest (and similar) titles is within arms reach, even for you!
"Watch out!" "You almost just got singed by a Burnsby!! Didn't you know? They may be cute and cuddly, but they hide amongst plush animals, and strike out at unsuspecting prey. Their cute demeanor can quickly send you on a trip to the hospital!"

Professor Rei: "Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was practicing my lines for.. Err, Nevermind.."
"My name is Rei! I've sort of made a name for myself as a Dokimon specialist. Ever since the Great Divide, I've made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps to ensure everyone's safety. You probably already knew that, though.."
"But anyway, what are you still doing here? Go play the game already!"

There is a Dokimon Wiki that includes information about all monsters, tips, guides, and more. To those that are interested, please check the Dokimon: Quest Steam Community Hub, or try googling "Dokimon Wiki".

A simple but charming game for all the monster collectors out there.
Incredible dev deserves support. Game is exactly what you'd expect, and I hope Yanako continues to explore the Creature Collector genre.
Cute and cozy monster catcher.
the game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cute and let you palette swap and choose your body. However, a lot of the text in the other languages (in this case, portuguese) has it space broken. It lacks testing, which is fine for a small indie game and can be good if you're fine with it's lack of polishing.
Very good monster catching game. There's no trading or breeding, but it's perfectly possible to get a complete living collection of all 144 Dokimon so it doesn't really need them. Good monster designs, and you catch them on cards where they live in 2D until you call them out, which is a nice touch. The postgame is very challenging but is possible with some careful team planning.
I deeply enjoyed my experience of Dokimon. It felt like a shorter and more direct and focused Creature Collecting playthrough! It really scratched the itch of wanting to play a main series creature game without having to invest as much time but still sustaining the main elements that I truely enjoy in this genre. I was really pleasantly suprised by the art design of the creatures, especially how they evolve and the diverse ways they can be 'shiny' or show up with different art pallettes entirely! There are interesting mechanics for choosing and selecting your team moves too which suprised me. I liked the silliness of the main enemy in the game and found exploring the world an enjoyable and chill experience! While its true this is not a very plot deep or heavy game, I didn't go in looking for that so still had a good time. So take the part with a grain of salt, because if plot in this genre matters for you, perhaps this one is a pass for you. The pixel full art of characters, creatures and backgrounds are also super beautiful and polished! Truely a fantastic atmosphere and design expereince all around. This game did have some little bugs and glitches here and there but nothing that was game breaking or prevented me from progressing or having fun. More like minor coding misteps than anything. I believe the vast majority of qualms past players had in previous reviews are not currently an ongoing issue or at least i did not experience them in my playthrough. Overall a really positive experience for me! If you aren't super fussed over competitive game play and just want a fun creature collector you'll enjoy this series for sure!
Personally I like the game. The only gripes I have with it is the UI when swapping moves/ Learning new moves. It gets a little confusing to look at and understand untill you use your brain for 3 sconds, Another gripe I have is that I don't fully understand how the Shinies work in this game. I understand that it defers from pokemon by adding more than just 1 "Alternate Pallete Color" Which is really cool but I would just like to know how it works. Mostly how rare it is, And what are good ways to reset the game for shiny hunting without having to Delete the game and totally reset your save. Either than that I think it is a solid game. I like that depending on your monsters level and the use of that monster you get points to attribute into each one of the stats. It's essentially EVS from pokemon since they work the same way, I really enjoy that. I also enjoy how mature the story is compared to a few other monster taming/Capturing Ips. And I love the Anime references for the most part.
Temos que pegar... poke...
Cute little game, my first pokemon game was crystal so I enjoyed the aesthetic, fun style and designs! Felt a little disorganized story wise in the middle but overall I had fun with it, loved the little alt-zone nuumonsters area <3
