Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 33.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 19.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Dokimon Quest was made in MonTamer Maker (MonMae, also known as Luna), a platform/engine built specifically for making monster tamer games. The engine keeps growing thanks to its devs and community — so making new Dokimon Quest (and similar) titles is within arm's reach, even for you.
"Watch out!" "You almost just got singed by a Burnsby!! Didn't you know? They may be cute and cuddly, but they hide amongst plush animals, and strike out at unsuspecting prey. Their cute demeanor can quickly send you on a trip to the hospital!"

Professor Rei: "Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was practicing my lines for... err, nevermind."
"My name is Rei! I've made a bit of a name for myself as a Dokimon specialist. Ever since the Great Divide, I've made it my mission to thoroughly document Dokimon on Earth. Dokimon are extremely dangerous creatures, so studying them profusely helps ensure everyone's safety. You probably already knew that, though..."
"But anyway, what are you still doing here? Go play the game already!"

Felt like the childhood I always wanted <3
If this game is on sale, just buy it and go for it. Honestly, it’s an absolute steal. Even at full price it’s worth every cent, and for $5 or even $10 you can’t go wrong. Okay, maybe this is my longest review ever, but I have so many thoughts and feelings to express here. I’m not even finished with the main story yet, but I already want to write this review because Dokimon leaves such a strong impression on me. The art style is beautiful. It has that classic Generation 2 feeling, but with its own unique color palette and lots of quality-of-life improvements. I also absolutely love the inspiration from Neon Genesis Evangelion. I really like that all the characters have such unique colors. It makes everyone stand out and gives the game its own style. The story hooks me almost immediately. It’s darker and more mature while still not taking itself too seriously. The character portraits shown during the dialogue are gorgeous. The title screen is so nostalgic, and I love the intro. I could watch it all day. The soundtrack is absolutely awesome!!! I actually catch myself sitting there listening to one song for almost ten minutes instead of playing. I enjoy it so much that I immediately buy the soundtrack on itch.io. I really hope it also comes to Steam one day. The game feels like the Generation 2 game I always imagined as a kid, just in widescreen with modern improvements. Double battles, lots of little QoL improvements, and even some inspiration from Pokémon Colosseum. It’s nostalgic but still feels fresh. I also love that the game includes lots of Japanese food as items. It’s a small detail, but it gives the game even more personality. The catching animation is also really cool and satisfying to watch. The game is also full of funny, weird, and charming moments. I really enjoy the dialogue and the cutscenes. The monster designs are also really creative. Sure, not every single one is my favorite, but creating more than 140 monsters is an insane amount of work, and I have a lot of respect for that. I’m playing the whole game on my Steam Deck, and honestly, it feels like this is where the game belongs. It’s a bit of a shame that it isn’t Steam Deck Verified yet because it seems so close. As far as I can tell there are only two small issues: the control screen at the beginning and one button prompt that says TAB instead of LS. With just a little bit of work here and there, I think it could easily get the Verified badge. Fast-forward could be mapped to RB, switching between menu tabs could use LT/RT, and TAB could simply become LS. I also see great potential in keeping the game updated as the engine continues to improve. One thing I never expect is that Dokimon actually inspires me to finally start making my own game. When I find out that the developer also made an engine for creating games like this, something just clicks. I finally start learning pixel art, making sprites, and working on my own little project. I’ve wanted to do that for years, and somehow Dokimon is the game that finally gets me started. I honestly can’t thank the developer enough for that. Pokémon Crystal is the last Pokémon game I really fall in love with before life slowly pulls me away from the series. Dokimon somehow brings those feelings back. It reminds me why I love this genre so much in the first place, and that’s something I never expect. Of course, the game isn’t perfect. My biggest criticism is probably the controls and no Verified status. The shoulder buttons are basically unused, and I think they could make menu navigation much faster. The battle animations are a bit basic, and I also think the monster evolution animations could use some improvements. I would also love to see four direction overworld sprites or even battle back sprites someday. I think they would add even more charm and immersion. But at the same time, I completely understand why they aren’t there. That’s a crazy amount of work, especially with more than 140 creatures, and I would never expect the developer to add something that big. The game still has a few small flaws that I hope get polished over time. I know the developer originally didn’t plan to keep updating the game, so I’m really happy to see that he has since talked about continuing support. I really appreciate that. One of the biggest strengths of indie games is that indie developers have the freedom to keep improving their games over the years. Seeing a game receive updates long after release, and not just because there’s a new DLC, is something I always appreciate. It would be a real shame if Dokimon didn’t continue to grow, because I think it has so much potential. Maybe for some die-hard ROM hack fans this game doesn’t hit the same way, I don’t know. But for me, it’s already one of my games of the year. Overall, Dokimon reminds me why I fell in love with this genre in the first place. It already changed my life. Let’s hope it’s for the better haha

Cute little game, my first pokemon game was crystal so I enjoyed the aesthetic, fun style and designs! Felt a little disorganized story wise in the middle but overall I had fun with it, loved the little alt-zone nuumonsters area <3
i do enjoy this game and i do reccomend it, theres just some small nagging things i want to mention that i think contributes to why some people feel that the game feels a bit off the movement first, well its more the choice to not let the player bump into things, but instead make the player sort of auto move around it, while i get the idea behind it, it does feel a bit weird and id rather i think bump into things than being forced to move around, its also a bit inconsistent the battle sprites themselves are cute and good, whats really lacking from battles is sound effects and basically confirmation that things are happening, there should be a level up sound for example, also its weird that there's an exp share on at all times, i would have thought that there wouldnt be since its not a very liked mechanic in pokemon which this game ofc is inspiried by, though maybe there is a way to turn it off this is a personal thing but i never liked the change in scarlet and violet to make every trainer optional, i much prefer the flow of forced battles on sight there should i think also be sound when a dokimion faints, i may be wrong but i feel that the only sounds in battle are the music and sfx from attacks, without the other sound effects it makes the battle feel slowler than it is. and theres less oomph in the things that happen the creature designs and general overworld sprite work is really noce though, i love the style of the game and the music is nice, very cool that there are piano renditions of the songs but the things mentioned above are my main critizism and i hope in the sequel it will feel a bit better moment to moment because there is a really good game in here somewhere ofc all of this might just be me not being used to the game i also wish i could change the keybindings, id rather have A and B at Z and X because im used to that from emulators also i think mby you get too much exp from battles tho ig the opposite is worse because grinding is annoying and a more casual experience is totally ok i do have to say seeing alot of negative reviews getting lost super early in the game really makes me understand why gamefreak makes their games super handholdy lol
Very good monster catching game. There's no trading or breeding, but it's perfectly possible to get a complete living collection of all 144 Dokimon so it doesn't really need them. Good monster designs, and you catch them on cards where they live in 2D until you call them out, which is a nice touch. The postgame is very challenging but is possible with some careful team planning.
A simple but charming game for all the monster collectors out there.
the game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cute and let you palette swap and choose your body. However, a lot of the text in the other languages (in this case, portuguese) has it space broken. It lacks testing, which is fine for a small indie game and can be good if you're fine with it's lack of polishing.
I never, ever, saw a worst control scheme in my entire life. Its just bad, lazy programming.
