Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.

Reviews
This game likes to waste your time. I really enjoy 50% of the game. The other 50% is some boring time-wasting activities that you HAVE to do like watching combat animations play out (yes, it's really annoying when you're trying out a new tactic and have to rewatch everything from beginning) and crafting-trading-repairing that distract you from the core loop. Cannot recommend this to people with limited time.
Just play DOS2 or BG3..

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was stuck in the first town doing sidequest to lvl up. 22 hours and I'm still doing the same thing in the same town and it triggered my mid-life crisis. WTF
The events and story of this game have next to zero impact on the second game. You do not need to play this. Divinity Original Sin 1 feels like a VERY early alpha test branch of the second game, and has numerous, numerous issues. One word description: Annoying. Two word description: Crowd control. The entire game, start to finish. Massive fixation with crowd control. If you don't hard CC every group of enemies you will be CC'd. Every single boss uses adds as crutches. Usually large numbers of adds, every single one of which will stun/freeze/knockdown etc. Item progression is painfully slow. My gear at level 20 was half comprised of gear I got around level 6-8 because nothing better ever dropped or was available to buy. "Puzzles" in this game are painfully generic and very restrictive. There are not multiple ways to solve them, and just require brute force problem solving, exploring and interacting with literally everything in the environment. They do not encourage thoughtful examination or critical thinking. They have a single, arbitrary method to resolve any given situation, and many rely on instant-kill mechanics. Case and point, to open a specific magical door you must interact with a lobster on the floor of the room. One of perhaps a dozen random objects in the room, and no there is no reason, correlation, or hints of any kind given. In short: Almost every quest is painfully restrictive and just requires brute force methods for problem solving, there is zero use for critical thinking here. Every fight is either kiting around line of sight, or using hard crowd control because the only way that difficulty could be achieved was ensuring that every group of enemies could fully incapacitate an entire group of four "usually with multiple forms of CC simultaneously," unless either CC'd themselves or forced to play hide and seek with the players. Two lone wolf characters, an aero/hydro mage and a warrior, with extreme emphasis on initiative for the mage utterly trivializes the entire game. 3/4 of engagements we didn't get hit once.
i would rate this merely OK. All of its many positives are outweighed by tedium and unforeseen complexity. Its more work than fun for me. The intro quest was super boring and I played it before in Ultima 7. If you are a die hard fan of this genre, you will not regret a playthrough to add it your collection. If you are less than zealous for this genre, skip this title and go straight to Divinity II.
