Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the most awful experiences I've had in a long time. I'm terrible at RTS, I know it, but I couldn't even stomach the first act without turning it down to casual because of the micro management. The game constantly resource starves you while the AI build massive armies on both the over world map and the RTS segments. The final nail in the coffin was a combination of naval battles, and the over world map straight up lying to me about where my transport goes. It tells me my transport made it to land and lets me unload troops, but when I click end turn suddenly my transport is in the water and I have to fight a battle at open sea with nothing that can fight back. Okay, i'll use the dragon and fight them myself.... nope, need more recruits when the sea maps have no recruitment citadels. Oh look I have a card to start the map with more recruits! Nope, need a recruitment citadel still. So I need buildings that don't exist, to use the dragon in combat, when I AM THE DRAGON?! I tried, I really tried to like this game but at every turn it seems to want me to chuck my ssd in a dumpster for installing this in the first place.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's awesome when developer tries something different and it doesn't completely fail. Dragon Commander is a combination of tactical strategy, RTS and dating sim(?). When you are on Raven, your ship, you spend your time chatting with NPCs. This is the only part where you get story. You can also make council decisions that influence strategy part, research new units, upgrade units and learn new skills for your dragon and of course marry a princess (Ophelia :3). Tactical Strategy Board This is where you buy troops and then send them to capture territories, build few building to help you and play cards that are like buffs. Real Time Strategy To capture territory you can either auto resolve, send one of your generals to auto resolve or fight it yourself with your dragon. It works almost like any other RTS. You build some factories, you fight for map dominance. But here is a twist, you can control a dragon in 3rd person which is probably the most fun part of the game. Camera is a bit wonky but you can get used to it. AI is surprisingly good, adapts to what you do a will give you a challenge. Conclusion Well made game even if the development was rushed. Pretty Graphics in my opinion. Gameplay, especially battles are fun. Story is good enough and dialogues are okay, sometimes funny and short enough to not waste your time. Shame multiplayer is dead, would love to finish all the achievements. Worth to play? Definetly.
Dragon Commander is not a bad game, but i can get the other reviews saying, it has it's issues. Yes it does. However i think the campaign mode feels surprisingly good, a lot of little bits and jokes and it has a couple interesting decisions. That being said, it is also rather short and while your choices do influence certain aspects somewhat, there is no real change of the story or the endings. However i still had a lot of fun with it over the years. And it's a game i occasionally come back to. The RTS Element feels a little repetitive after some time. There are only a handful of maps and units. And it is sometimes very easy to just overpower everything with Hunters lol. The dragon is a nice gimmick, but feels extremely unbalanced. It can either really turn the tide of battle, or just gets killed in a matter of seconds. Overall it's really not a bad game, but it sometimes feels a bit rushed here and there. I guess most work at the time went to Original Sin, which would explain the shortcomings here. I kinda wish Larian would remake this with a proper budget and time, since then i think this could become a really great game. Still, i enjoyed it, and while it has it's shortcomings it's fun to play. So i recommend it. However it would be good if you enjoy Larians writing / jokes / setting, since that is really the main factor to look into this game.
There are three intersecting types of gameplay: politics, the world campaign and RTS for individual battles. 1. The political decisions assume very little about how you want to rule. You can embrace democracy, become a tyrannical theocrat or effectively sell your kingdom to the highest bidder. The advisors are generally pretty entertaining. Like in Dragon Age, a number of political decisions are also personal, affecting your companion's lives. There's an arranged marriage in act 2 - I married the skeleton, which is mechanically suboptimal but extremely funny. Sadly, she starts looping voice lines pretty quickly - I'd kill for a little more unique dialogue. 2. The turn-based gameplay is rightfully well-liked. A reasonable amount of complexity, but easy to learn. 3. The RTS gameplay is unpopular, but it doesn't really deserve it. It's less good than Starcraft 2, but substantially better than most RTS games. The ability to turn into a dragon, once the timer runs down, completely derails the gameplay to the point where both armies are mostly irrelevant because a well-built dragon can single-handedly raze the enemy bases in minutes (a win condition). Being a dragon is pretty fun, but poorly balanced. What strikes me as a little weird is that, in the default settings, you can only control units if you assign yourself to the battle - if you let your units handle it themselves, it's an autoresolve, and if you let your generals handle it they autoresolve it with a bonus. So the only situation in which you can control troops is one in which you can turn into a dragon, potentially making your troops irrelevant. This can be tweaked on a custom game, and I would recommend you do so.
Divinity: Dragon Commander.
Long story short: great idea and OKish execution. Nice country and relationships (advisors, generals, diplomats, lovers) manager with great voice acting and a lot of interesting decisions to make, bundled together with pretty barebones RTS, braindead AI and pretty useless main selling point, the titular dragon commander with a jetpack. Every battle feels like an obstacle preventing you from experiencing another nice little story bit, especially considering that the only winning strategy is to gather more troops than the AI, spread its troops so they can't attack you all at once, gather a bit more troops and stomp his base. Nothing else seems to work as efficiently, including your dragon form, which feels more like a gimmick and plot device more than an actual threat. For 10 dollars? Worth considering. For 40? Nope, not worth it.
Are you good at rts games? Get it. The rts sections can be punishingly difficult if you don't know what you're doing. Are you bad at rts games? Still get it. Play on easy and use the auto resolve function(or spam nukes). The roleplaying aspects in this game are incredible and it's probably the only strategy game that's ever made me actually feel like I'm in control of a nation. The laws have consequences on the strategy layer, defying the gods can cause them to curse you, and your political marriage can have dire consequences. This game is about war, sure, but really, its about politics.
