With 1,500+ reviews, please consider following The Cpt Froggy Club Curator Page for plenty more!
Disciples: Domination: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It has been 15 years since Avyanna, the Queen of Navendaar, liberated her kingdom by defeating the gods. But since then, her rule over the realm has been indecisive as she struggles to govern. Cracks have begun to form among her close friends and allies, leaving her even more isolated, confused, and fearful. But Navendaar needs her more than ever as an unknown source gradually takes its grip over her kingdom with devastating results. She must face her fears, rebuild her friends' trust, and determine who created this source and why. All will be revealed in Disciples: Domination. Disciples: Domination is a turn-based combat RPG developed by Artefacts Studio and published by Kalypso Media on the 12th of February 2026, on the Steam platform. The game is also available on Xbox One Series X|S and PS5. The Navendaar kingdom is divided into five areas, each home to a different faction: The Empire, The Elven Alliance, The Mountain Clans, Legions of the Damned and the Undead Hordes. Within each map you'll have essence generators as well as several mines (gold, iron and wood) to capture. All these resources are important for upgrading structures in the city of Yllian. They can also be used to purchase units and to activate options for making decisions regarding factions when you visit the throne. There are many NPCs to talk to regarding the story quests, companion quests and secondary quests. There are a couple of small dungeons to visit, a few fountains where you can regain health for your party and a few rune icons which give you the ability to fast travel from one point to another within each area. Fast travelling is particularly handy because you'll need to constantly move your party around the map to complete quests. There are other items on each map and in dungeons that you won't be able to interact with until you have access to a new main companion. Without a main companion you will not be able to talk to the spirit of a corpse or open sealed chests and doors. So, don't be worried if you are not able to interact straightaway; you can always fast travel back to the areas with these items once you have the appropriate companion. I really enjoyed the turn-based combat, as you have the core party of up to ten units (the maximum number of units playable within the battlefield) and a backline of another three units, which the AI controls on each turn. Within the battlefield units, you can only have three of the six major characters (once you’ve unlocked them) at any given time in the lineup. The other seven characters will be made up from units you purchased in Yllian or by other characters who have joined your party after finishing a quest. It will take time to fill up your core party, as every single unit, apart from the main six characters, has a leadership cost. When you start the game, your leadership ceiling is capped fairly low. As you progress and upgrade your castle, your leadership points will start to grow, allowing you to add more units to your frontline. As you upgrade the other factions' houses at Yllian, one of the rewards is that your units' leadership cost decreases, which is nice. At the start of each battle, you'll first lay out your units on the map, and you'll be able to edit your units if needed. Each battle has a condition, including that you not use any of the main characters during a battle, not use a backline, or have no more than two factions in the front line. You can decide to follow or not follow the instructions. If you do, you receive more experience points and goodies at the end of the winning fight. I strongly recommend doing so in the early part of the game so you can level up Avyanna as fast as possible. Also, most of the battles have a variety of environmental conditions such as earthquakes, icy winds, and falling rocks, which are detrimental to both friendly and enemy units. It makes the battle a little bit more tense and fun. I also like the few big boss battles, and I wish there were more of them, as they were fun and challenging. I found the story quite good; even though I have not played any of the previous games, I never felt lost, even at the start of the game; they do a good job of laying out previous events. Although the voice acting could have been better, it was still sound. I enjoyed the different units of each of the factions, but I didn’t used all of them. About half way through the game, I pretty much stuck to my formation, and that worked really well. The graphics are very good, as are the animations throughout the world and in battles. I finished the game in around 80 hours, and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Positives: ~~~~~~~ + Great graphics and animations + Simple resource management and level progression + Good story + Nine different units per faction + Cool environmental conditions that add challenges to the turn-based battle + 80+ hours of gameplay + Achievements and trading cards Negatives: ~~~~~~~~ - The voice acting could have been better - I felt that the choices I made in the throne room when prompted didn't affect the story much, apart from decreasing my influence on factions here and there. Disciples: Domination is a very solid turn-based combat RPG. I was entertained for over 80 hours, a must try! 8/10 Note: This game was not received for free; I purchased it through the Steam store. Any opinions expressed are entirely my own!

I finished the game in +/- 50h and I can recommend it. It's similar to Liberation which I liked a lot, maybe even too similar. I'd like to see more fresh ideas but it was still a very nice experience to play it. Reducing the number of companions to 5 wasn't a problem in the first playthrough as you can only field 2, but might be a limitation in NG+.
This game would garner a full-throated recommendation if it were, say, half its length: it's got nice graphics, an interesting combat system (potentially....), and it sure scratches my itch for turn-based combat. But oy. There are just so many weird and plain annoying things about it: the mobile-app-esque timer system for generating resources, the completely useless equipment-gathering (after half way through, you'll basically just dismantle everything), the disincentive to change up your army (because that means tediously clicking on a thousand shards to get everybody geared up). It's a shame that some of the neatest and game-changing-est gear comes in the very last act -- up to that point, you are basically just up your basic stats, which makes every combat feel very similar. The worst is that it's completely random when you're given an opportunity to run away from a more powerful argument -- and when you're not. Oftentimes, you'll be in the middle of a dialogue tree and then wham! they'll attack with an army 10 levels higher than yours. Good luck with that. Time to reload. So: a mixed bag. It's like they polished some of the interesting mechanics from the previous game but neglected to fix the quality of life annoyances. [It was nice that I could actually defeat the final boss on the first try -- I hate the whole trial-and-error method of concluding a game. I figure if I've learned how craft a synergistic army, I should be rewarded with a relatively straightforward battle -- and that's what I got! Phew.]
I am a fun of seria, but this ♥♥♥♥ is not worth it!!!
The story is not as good as in the first one - liberation, also the throne decisions feel a bit repeating after a while, but the fighting system is still good and makes fun. So even though it's not as good as the first one it was still an enjoyable game so i can recommend it if you like this type of games.
I've been playing Disciples since the first game in the early 2000s and I'm probably one of the few who appreciate all the titles. So does Disciples: Domination. I've already invested over 160 hours in Liberation and had a lot of fun. Domination is at least as much fun and offers interesting additions with the new features. And the clans are finally back! On Top the whole thing is packed into an excellent dark story. For me, the only downsides so far are that the camera can no longer swivel vertically in combat and does not offer a deeper zoom. And one could discuss whether fewer units makes sense in terms of the strategic depth of the game. There is also no German dubbing included, but in my opinion the English voice acting is even better than in the previous title. But all in all very well done and I would be very happy about more content and another sequel.
As often these days Steam has launched a game well before it is ready to earn money. Painfully slow and jerky movement and scene changes. Horrendous. Should be fixed before selling it.
За такую цену можно приобрести Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, чуть добавить и Elden Ring, God of War.
