Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.86/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Jul 20 → 1.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's Dino Crisis 2. It's awesome. We love dinos. This GOG re-release however is a bit weird. The description mentions 'Improved music playback and volume scaling' The audio mixing in this version is extremely messed up. The dialogue and sound effects are all very quiet during cutscens, ambience is very loud. Watched some videos on YouTube and each one had audio mixing issues, so the problem is not on my end. The pre-rendered cutscenes are also very low-res. Get the Dino Crisis 2 Classic Rebirth mod. It fixes all the above mentioned issues, adds high-res textures/videos and adds the option to skip door animations.
Great game on par with the 1st one but much less horror and more of a arcade shooter type game.

The entire game is just you being attacked by enemies spawning offscreen for 4 hours.
I really don't know what happened between the previous installment and this one, but apparently someone decided that survival horror was overrated and what we really needed was an arcade shooter where dinosaurs constantly jump out at you. 😂 The first Dino Crisis was basically Resident Evil with dinosaurs: creepy atmosphere, exploration, puzzles, resource management and dinosaurs that actually felt like dangerous creatures. This one? Run and shoot. Run and shoot. Run and shoot. Seriously, the dinosaurs are EVERYWHERE. You can barely take two steps without another group attacking you, so there isn't much opportunity to stop and enjoy the environments or atmosphere. Instead, you're constantly blasting dinosaurs, collecting points and spending those points on bigger and better weapons. And there are certainly plenty of things to shoot. Dinosaurs on land, dinosaurs in the water, dinosaurs underwater, dinosaurs from a tank… more dinosaurs, more locations and even a second protagonist. It's definitely bigger than the first game. It's just not what I wanted from Dino Crisis. The puzzles from the first game are almost completely gone, with only some basic item-fetching and backtracking remaining. There's a story too, but it's pretty thin and, somehow, still rather confusing. The fixed camera angles and tank controls also feel much more awkward here because the game constantly throws enemies at you. I can definitely understand the appeal if you're looking for an old-school action game where you shoot dinosaurs and rack up points. There's probably a lot of fun to be had there. Unfortunately, I wasn't having any fun at all. As a survival horror fan, the constant shooting became exhausting pretty quickly, and I really missed the slower, more atmospheric approach of the first game. For me, Dino Crisis was Jurassic Park. This one is Jurassic Park III. And no, it wasn't even The Lost World. 😅
Different from the first game. More focus on action and running and gunning which i think for a game of this length was fun. 7/10
