About
G'Day! Grab your tools, gather resources, and build your town while hanging out with friends and enjoying the charm of Dinkum.
Plant crops, raise animals, and build your dream farm, or roam the island catching fish and bugs at your own pace.
With changing seasons and weather affecting how your crops grow, every day brings a new challenge. Slip on your flip-flops to hunt for rare fish, bugs, or ores. Every moment becomes a special adventure.
From red deserts and lush forests to hidden mines, Dinkum is full of wild places to explore. Hunt wild animals, gather resources, and learn how to survive in the great outdoors.
The creatures might look cute, but don't let your guard down! You'll need tools, weapons, and a solid strategy to make it out in one piece. Will you go head-to-head, or set traps and play it smart? The choice is yours.
What starts as a simple campfire and a sleeping bag can grow into a thriving town with shops, fountains, flower beds, and windmills.
Craft furniture and decorations to personalize your home, reshape the island to design your ideal town layout, and customize your character's look from head to toe. Invite friends over to show off your one-of-a-kind creation!
Sell your harvest and foraged goods to earn Dinks, and reinvest them to help your town flourish.
As your town grows, new shops will open, visitors will stop by—and some might even decide to stay for good. Celebrate with festivals and build a vibrant, lively town, whether you're playing solo or with friends.

REQUIRES a hotfix to add a persistent autosave for multiplayer save. Unacceptable to be able to lose things because of a disconnect.
Not for multiplayer / purists. ⚠️ Caution ⚠️ TL;DR: 👎🏻 Loss of items / progression. or Duplication pick your poison. ☠️ The save mechanic is bad, and dated! Played on a co-op world since shortly after the "tutorial". Picked it up for myself and a friend (b-day). Figured we'd run together but have our own saves as well. Started on my own as apparently you have to anyhow. Switched to their save brought over some items left them in a crate. Shared what I picked up their aside most "valuables" I stashed. Had a restroom interlude where I had to go... So I left the game as not to disable them from sleeping... Came back my inventory wasn't proper but I couldn't remember it all... I know I was missing some reward turn-ins though. Annoyed but decided to proceed as we were going to do the alpha/boss fight and I just tried to let it go. Fast forward a bit later I've been up almost 24h I'm tired... Game isn't enough action to keep me going and we didn't see Franklin or whoever since I joined which he said the disks and such sold well too... Unsure when we'd want to play again and both be on I loaded up all my favorite quest items, treasures, shop purchases etc. that I'd like to proceed with in my starter world... You guessed it... Not privy to the games mechanics it's all lost to the void. Now fine f'-it I lost a large majority of 10h progression. I still have some Dinks and License, I can rebuild... However... If I can lose ♥♥♥♥ that easy it can be duped that easy and that's not a vibe. I've had too many games ruined from harder to implement methods. This is 3 strikes albeit also user error in one session. It's so hard to convince myself to see what's beyond this. I picked it due to YouTube comments of people loving it with 6k+ it's already given me a bad taste... I have probably 600 games on Steam, Deck, Nintendo, Xbox, PS5 Probably 1500-2k+ games and likely less reviews for them than fingers... 🤷 Made bug reports, filled out ea questionnaires This game I had hopes for and just NEVER want to see this type of issue again, the game is likely ruined for me. Maybe it's just my bad but I doubt I'll be able to get around this...
Curry Udon Prep Time 10 mins Cook Time 10 mins Total Time 20 mins This is not just a simple bowl of udon noodles but curry flavoured noodles with pork, shallots (scallions), aburaage (deep fried tofu) and fish cakes. I made the curry sauce from scratch and flavour is amazing. Omit meat and fish cakes and make it a vegetarian version of curry udon with konbu dashi stock. Ingredients 2 servings of fresh udon noodles (note 1) 4 shallots (scallions) 2 short chikuwa sticks (note 2) 1 aburaage 150 g pork belly , thinly sliced into bite size pieces (note 3) 700 ml dashi stock 1 tsp oil Salt & pepper Curry Mixture 1 tbsp curry powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 tbsp cornflour/corn starch 5 tbsp dashi or water 3 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp mirin Instructions 1. Cut shallots diagonally into about 5cm long pieces. Slice chikuwa diagonally into 4 cm long, 5mm wide pieces. 2. Pour boiling water (not in ingredients) over the aburaage to remove excess oil and squeeze moisture out. Cut the aburaage into two lengthwise, then cut them crosswise into 1.5 - 2cm wide pieces. 3. Add all the Curry Mixture ingredients to a bowl and mix well using a whisk, ensuring that corn flour is dissolved. 4. Add oil to a large fry pan or a saucepan and heat over medium high heat. Add pork, season with a pinch of salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes until the pork pieces are nearly cooked. 5. Add shallots, chikuwa and aburaage to the pan and cook further 30 seconds 6. Add dashi stock and turn the heat up to high. When it starts boiling, scum might surface. Remove as much as possible. 7. Mix the curry mixture in the bowl again ensuring that corn flour has not collected at the bottom of the bowl. Add the mixture to the pan and turn down the heat to medium. 8. The sauce will start to thicken. When the sauce starts boiling, turn the heat off. 9. Transfer heated udon noodles to two serving bowls and pour curry sauce over the udon. 10. Serve immediately. ( Heating Up Udon Noodles: Note 4 ) 1. Boil water in a sauce pan that is large enough to blanch 2 servings of udon noodles. 2. Add udon noodles and boil until the water starts bubbling again or follow the instruction on the pack. Drain (note 5). Notes: 1. You can use dried udon noodles if you can't find fresh noodles. Follow the instructions on the package to boil dried noodles. Fresh udon noodles and dried udon noodles can be purchased at super market and Asian/Japanese grocery stores. 2. Chikuwa is a log-shaped grilled fish cake with a hole in the middle. There are thick, large chikuwa that usually come in a pack of two and small, thin chikuwa, five in a pack. I used three short ones. If you would like to see a photo of the short chikuwa pack, please look on google. Chikuwa is sold at Japanese/Asain grocery stores and comes frozen. 3. You can use other parts of pork or chicken. In both cases slice thinly and cut into bite size pieces. It is rare to use beef. If you are using lean meat, you may need to add a bit more oil when cooking. 4. Alternatively, you can use the microwave to heat the udon up if the udon package indicates so. My udon needed a couple of minutes in the microwave to heat up. Ensure that the vacuum sealed bag is opened to let the steam out while heating. Udon noodles heated in microwave are slightly softer than the noodles blanched in boiling water. 5. Drain well as excess water will make the broth thin.
I was playing Dinkum really hard, but I died from a shark attack. When I respawned, my hang glider wouldn’t work, my axe wouldn’t work, and I couldn’t interact with anything. I can still walk around and use portals, but I can’t equip weapons, use the hang glider, or interact with things properly.
