Potion Brew: Co-op

(UPDATE 09/25/2023 STILL NO FIX OR CLEAR TRANSPARENT COMMUNICATION FROM DEV!! ANYONE INTERESTED IN THIS GAME, BEWARE!) Original review below.... Been hoping to see an update... But as of currently, still nothing. (Month and a half or so now) My fiance spoke directly with the dev. Him (my fiance) and I were playing and loving this game. We were looking forward to what was to come in the future for this game (at the time). BUT!! We had to get off the game. Saves all that jazz. We get back on to ALL OF THE ITEMS my fiance built on our save (world i started for us) we GONE! So items I had built/placed were floating in mid air and such. So in short ALL THAT WE DONE during that time was gone... ALL OF MY CASH, XP AND SKILLS were gone as well. The only advice the dev gave was the basically cheat I guess?? And EDIT THE SAVE FILE to get money and xp? And what? I am to do this each and every time?!? I should not have to edit a save file or anything of the sort. What should be done is a fix for this issues and all others. I just don't think that was great advice and I know fixes take time, depending on the dev and their experience, team so on and so forth. But I rather be told that they will look into it AND FIX CO-OP! Could this be a lil' gem.. Yes! If properly cared for. But at its current state... I can not recommend... It says "Potion Brew: Co-op" but Co-op NOT SO MUCH. :( If and when this is fixed. I will update my review. As of now NOT RECOMMENDING in current state for co-op. As for single player, I'm sure it is fine. But I do not know. As that is not why my fiance and I got this.

Game is cute and pretty fun for an early access game. Played for a couple hours, most of that spent gathering ingredients and prepping flasks of water for efficient order processing with my gaming partner. The game booted us out, as can be expected with early access games, but when we logged back in, everything we had bought and gathered was gone. Hours gone. Needless to say it would take a miracle to get me to go near this game again as time is valuable and this game sucker punched 2 hours out of me for nothing.

The developers clearly stopped working on this game. You'll get about an hour and a half of play as is and then be disappointed after that. Way too many game breaking bugs to count. Save your 5 bucks and buy a candy bar instead.

I like the way this game looks. Relaxes, but at the same time there is some ridiculous things to laugh at. For now this game is a good base and it has room to grow and develop. Gonna bring some friends here to play and watch how this game evolve! :P

Very bad control scheme. After only a few minutes I was sick of the constant picking up, throwing in, my 5 slot inventory etc. What a cumbersome grind. No matter the low price, avoid, this is not fun at all. Oh, maybe Hydroneer-masochists will enjoy it. The control scheme is equally bad without an inventory.

This game has so much potential and I look forward to seeing what else happens with this game! It is so cute and fun. I haven't played with anyone else, but I will see if I can get a friend to play it with me!! :) Well done, creators!

It was fun....and I was starting to love it, but every time I start up the game I quickly realize that I have a ton of skill points that I can't use because my character and every single new character I make seem broken somehow while my partner's character can use skill points just fine. Seems like something I should ask the devs about right? Well it seems they done went and poofed into thin air. Really a sad shame because this game seemed to have a lot of potential. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking for long term enjoyment. You'll enjoy maybe an hour to maybe more than ten if you really try, but idk. Now it's just a frustrating game that sits in my library to collect dust forever :(

We found this gem looking for a fun night and we got it. Potion Brew isn't a polished game as gets pointed out by the devs on several occasions. It is however very much at a point where you can enjoy playing it and we did. Notable things: - you can customize your brewery with various furniture and make it your own - items aren't just put away into chests, you put them on tables, cupboards and that really adds to the feel of the game - there's a day/night cycle and putting lamps into your brewery makes for an nice vibe - ingredients aren't too hard to find, making potions is actually a lot of fun - bring friends, working together in the brewery at times feels like a round of Overcooked in all the right ways 100% recommended! Can't wait to see this game grow.
