About
Devil Spire Falls is a procedurally generated, open-world, hardcore action-RPG built around dynamic and interconnected systems and mechanics.
Create your own unique character and delve into this dark fantasy world where the actions of heroes past caused the first Devil Spire to fall, and spread an accursed fog throughout the land... And the monsters that lurked within.
Explore the overworld, conquer dungeons, become the town hero, raze every village to the ground, hunt monsters, slay bosses, slaughter bandits or nomad camps, kill that merchant, run away, build your own home, gather your party, go on quests, farm, fish, mine, hunt, tame... The possibilities are endless!
In this world where nothing is predetermined... Everything is permitted. No character is so important it can't be killed. No dungeon is made to be an easy or even fair challenge. No obstacle can't be smartly circumvented or brute-forced through. You will enter a world of its own, unconcerned with your well-being, and unprotected against your machinations! And of course, your choices are permanent, and they matter.
Fully customizeable character creation, including facial features, with several Races, Classes and Origins, backed by a deep, real RPG system with 7 attributes, skills, perks, equipment, magic and more!
18 unique weapon classes with their own special properties! From swords to flails, from bows to muskets, and from throwing knifes to javelins. You're sure to find one that suits your tastes! Or just use your own fists and feet!
35 Skills with 9 Perks each! Unlock special attacks, acquire new actions, get rid of limiters, learn how to craft mighty weapons, build your own house, double-jump, or simply unlock a door and disarm traps, etc. With enough training, your powers will know no limits!
Create your own spells with over 100 effects, from buffing to burning, invisibility to telekinesis, shrinking to transforming... There's enough magicks to fill an entire library with arcane grimoires!
A deep combat system with several unique attacks, blocking and parrying, dodges, kicks, and much more. You must use every tool at your disposal to outmaneuver your enemies, conserve your stamina, leave them stunned and confused, and emerge victorious!
Physics and environmental shenanigans: Throw items at enemies, kick them off cliffs, build your own bridges and stairs, sneak past them while snuffing out lights, use the traps and whatever else is around you to come out on top!
Climb anything, swim to the deepest depths, leap over mountains, fly above the clouds, tame and ride a horse... or learn how to run faster than them. There are many ways to traverse this vast world, and reach every room in the treacherous dungeons. Just how many secrets lie in the far reaches of the world, or behind a secret wall?
In-depth NPC interaction system: Trade items, chit-chat, join factions, do quests, get trained, ask for information, recruit them to your party... not to mention all the interactions outside civil conversation like pick-pocketing, murder, induced coma, and other accidents!
An endless amount of items, activities, interactables and things to build or destroy, all interlinked and working with each other! Build your own base, grow your own crops, gather, mine and fish, or just destroy anything that stands in your path. The choice is yours!
While you have the freedom to do whatever it is you desire... The Urge to conquer a newly risen Devil Spire does not leave your mind. Will you repeat the errors of the past, discover the truths behind the massive towers, or simply take their power as your own? You now have the entire world to explore, conquer, and scour for answers!

Just started basically. Got the hang on basic, basic crafting. Grabbed a bunch of apples and stumbled into a vast desert, saw a cool pyramid, so went to check it out, but something caught my attention... a unicorn, with wings, just beggin' to be tamed. Whipping out the apples, I fed them to that beast until it was 100% loyalty. Jumped on and rode that beast into the sky, like so high I could no longer breath. That unicorn was fast as ♥♥♥ boi, rode my ride all the way to the capitol.. but it was empty as all get out. Entered the castle and fought a headless horde that shot fireballs out its ass. I was triumphant, I slayed the beast.. I didn't have to wait long until some wild battle music started up and some naked weirdo named "the king", came a runnin, no not runnin, gliding!! He flew around the castle chasing me like I was prey... Finally cornered, he hit me one time, and I was dead... Amazing experience.
This is like if dwarf fortress had the gameplay of Morrowind. This developer is actually a chad.

lots of ideas that seem cool until you play it, then its just a boring chore with repetitive procedural generation.
I really admire this game and the dev. The game's discord community was super friendly and answered all kinds of questions that I had, including the dev himself. The ongoing meme is that the dev never sleeps, and is constantly cranking out new content, so I look forward to coming back for more soon :)
good gam
A buggy, unfinished mess. But what an ambitious and nostalgic mess indeed. 11/10
Insanely addictive. If you like Elder Scrolls you'll be right at home here. Last session I picked up a ring that let me eat any item. While trying to figure out how to use it, I accidently ate the ring. 10/10
I really did love this game when I first played it and I know its in early access but I simply cannot enjoy this game to its fullest, as every week to access the updates and any new content, you often times need to regen your world, Which literally resets everything in the world except for the player's own level. So all those relationships and factions you built up, Gone, All your favourite npc's and towns, Gone, The overall world and cool stuff you discovered or cleared out, Gone. This seriously hurt my enjoyment of the game and I stopped playing completely after I found out this was how they did the updates. And also speaking of the updates, I have not been very happy with them either, its mostly just adding things to the game but not neccesarily making the game have more depth or be more engaging. Here and there, they have a great update like new quest types and faction updates, but most of the time its honestly pretty meaningless additions like a new race, a new animal, a new monster...yay. So if I were you guys I would wait for the full release of this game, just wishlist it instead. I'm not hating on this game but the decisions being made are not the greatest.
10/10 and the game isn't even done being made yet. The spellmaking system will one day rival that of Noita. The scale of the world rivals that of Daggerfall. If you enjoy jank and taking advantage of it to gain an edge over a game, this is it. There's almost no limit to how absolutely broken (good) your build can get. I made a growth type spell that inflicted Instant Death with 10 separate durations so their probabilities would stack instead of their durations. Then I flew up to above the clouds and cast it down onto the city. by the time the projectile reached the ground, its diameter was 1/4 the size of the city. When the spell detonated, it killed me and when i respawned, the entire city was levelled. Called it Biden Blast.
