14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Oh what might have been. Played this again for the 10 year anniversary and that's what I was left thinking. There was so much this game got right: it still looks incredible on a modern system, sensible improvements to the first game's progression and tech systems, great stealth levels with inventive solutions, a world that is much more alive and reqarding to explore than its predecessor, exciting side missions, timely social commentary. I don't understand why this wasn't a big enough hit to justify a third game. Certainly the name Deus Ex is an obstacle - gaming is littered with follow ups to all time classics that suffered by comparison. Ultimately though I think it was a fatal case of sequelitis that ruined it. The story is nowhere near as engaging or as expansive as the first and the conclusion is unsatisfying. Fitting though to consider that DX was just ahead of its time, subjected to the same death by a thousand accountants that seems to be happening in the rest of the AAA industry these days. A strong buy for fans of Human Revolution or Cyberpunk 2077 and stealth games.
It is truly a shame that this game is the second in a trilogy which at this point will almost certainly never be finished. The biggest complaint I have about the game is that it abruptly ends on such a high note that it almost feels like a joke. It wasn't until after I went and searched up more information about the game's development timeline and the studio's plans for a sequel which was cancelled, that I realized what actually happened. If you haven't played Human Revolution, play that first and then play this game. They are both tremendous. There are some aspects of the first game that I prefer over this one, however, I'd say that this one is an overall improvement in the majority of areas. The engine is a little buggy, mostly towards the end of the game, but there were also some bugs along the way as well. I had to turn my graphics down during certain sequences to avoid game crashes. There is also a cutscene at the end of one of the levels about halfway through the game which completely bricked my game 100% of the time, that required me to do extensive research in order to figure out that the only way through was to disable most of my processor cores mid-cutscene and then re-enable them after the cutscene ended, to avoid a game crash. On top of this, the game obviously doesn't run as well as the first one, but that's a tradeoff for having much better graphics. This game is a flawed masterpiece which I will never forget playing for as long as I shall live. It stood tall as the last bastion in a revolutionary genre of games, which were betrayed in the last decade by the AAA games industry, who unfortunately favor quick, guaranteed cash over quality game design and respect for their players' intelligence. Indie developers who are out there working on games like Cruelty Squad, Peripeteia and Parkside: Decayed Soul Manipulation will carry the torch forward for immersive sim games, keeping the spirit of this genre alive for years to come, but unfortunately, can not come close to what games like Deus Ex, Dishonored, or Prey really accomplished. I hope to be one amongst them one day. 10/10.
I never asked for this...
