Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Entertaining enough, considering it's age. DX (2000) really set a high bar,

A weird one to review/recommend, because on one hand it's a pretty okay game when looked at by itself - nothing too special, but a very consistent and fine experience. On the other hand, following up one of the best (and for many people the very best) video games of all time with a game that's just "okay" is understandably disappointing for a lot of players. I'm leaning on recommending the game to people who liked the first one as long as you don't mind a massively more simple and linear game with less complexity on all fronts, because it's a continuation of the same universe which keeps the basics of the first game's immersive sim open gameplay style... It just doesn't really do anything more than those basics. The world and plot are a direct continuation of the first game and I found the atmosphere and general vibe of the world to be lacking a certain charm that the first game had - the world in the sequel is extremely lonely and drab, which is logical when talking about a world recovering from a catastrophic "Collapse" that happened, but that doesn't change the fact that it feels a bit too depressing - even when surrounded by "allies", none of them truly ever feel like they're standing alongside the main character and being truly there for them, they all feel very selfishly motivated, which again is very relevant to the plot so it was most definitely meant to be this way. It's true dystopian cyberpunk to its core. Following the melancholic design of the world, the soundtrack of the game is filled with a more ambient and "lingering" kind of music. There's nothing in the game that sounds as lively as UNATCO HQ or the Synapse OSTs from the first game. This, again, very much was probably by design and it's hard to call it objectively worse, it's just different. It signals to the player that the world is very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ - the world is in a constant state of hyper late-stage capitalism, greed and abuse is all around the globe, terrorism is on the rise and there exists a struggle for power between companies and cults so massive that a single person can't even fathom their inner workings and ambitions, all of that only 20 years after a total societal collapse following the first game's endings. Gameplay, system and level design all took big hits because of the console release of the game - there's much less complexity and verticality in levels, there's loading screens at certain points preventing missions from being big uninterrupted chunks of gameplay, there's no leveling system whatsoever so every playstyle is available to every player at all times in a more limited way, the lockpick-multitool duality has been replaced with universal multitools for all keypad and locker entering, ammo is universal for all weapons and so on. I honestly liked it just fine. The story didn't feel as fulfilling, its art style felt more generically sci-fi and "early 2000s console game"-ish and the gameplay and system designs felt extremely mediocre and underdeveloped when compared to the first game because of console limitations, but that doesn't necessarily make it a bad game for a playthrough or two. Is it a disappointing follow up to possibly the best game of all time though? Yes, definitely.
It's a console game. I basically never enjoy trying to play a console game on my computer. Trying to play with a keyboard and mouse you will be endlessly reminded that this game is built for controllers. and because of that everything has to be dumbed down.
before i could write this review, i had to go through a loading, then i wrote the review, waited thru another loading and then had to load again into the review because i wanted to add something and then of course i waited in another loading so i could finally rest. dumbed down to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level; consoles were the future, or so they thought
This game is an essential part of the story, only in the beginning it felt not so good as in the first game, but following further the progress it just appears to be really cool game too. The story is on the equal level as in the first game, it just the game wasn't refined and finished properly because I believe the people working on this game had a very limited budget and resources at a time, but yet they pushed beyond the limitations and finished the project, so I give my gratitude to them.
It's worth a playthrough at the very least. The stealth action is /mostly/ still there but the way it handles augs compared to all the other games is pretty disappointing. The endings are all uh... well I guess par for the course since none of the games in this series have satisfying endings. I say we get a sequel where we all vote kick Helios out of the group chat and make him just sit there inside JC's head while the world moves on.
