DEV IS OUT OF JAIL!!!!! LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!
Dev went on site research in a real prison for a while, don't buy it just yet, wishlist it for 3-5-years in advance.
It's certainly got potential, it looks amazing and has fun gameplay moments but for an 'immersive-sim' it seems to be lacking some core elements that would garner it such a title. For starters, it feels/seems like there's only one way to achieve your objectives, which is a little lame. In a game like System Shock 2 or Deus Ex there's multiple ways to tackle your objectives. If there's a keypad you can hack it, find a different route to open it, or take a different path. In this game it seems like there's only one way to achieve it. There's a lot of jank in here too, especially with the space sections on the yellow bars. Kind of frustrating. More of a nitpick, but the voice acting is... meh... Feel like there's too much 'referential' stuff in this game, which... Kind of takes out of the whole 'immersive-sim' aspect of it. The world should feel as though it's natural, not as though it's a video game with references and secrets everywhere. Also I absolutely hate those interruption calls that disturb you mid-gameplay. Hoping you can toggle these things off in the future, i.e. toggle off the secret cats and wacky referential stuff. Some Wild Wasteland type stuff. Hope to see this game get better though, very interested in it.
Fun game, has some nice mechanics and i enjoy replaying levels trying different approaches, but heads up for whoever is buying this, the dev's been sent to prison and i'm not so sure when he's coming back, but i still recommend buying the game to help a brother out.
Deus Ex but it's Quake but it's System Shock but it's Doom but it's Mirror's Edge but
RELEASE MY GIRL 🥺🫡🫡🫡
This game is wild, and the story behind the development is getting increasingly wilder. highly recommend playing, and then highly recommend checking the update logs out if you're a nosy little ♥♥♥♥♥♥ like me :) go team fortune, go!
A sick-ass imm-sim with a huge amount of clear effort and talent put into it. Legitimately impresses me every time I play it. As a fellow Canadian living under the wretched boots of our country's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ police system, I wish the dev nothing but the best of luck and hope for the future.
The developer was imprisoned for committing violent crimes. Not a joke.
I thought it was a boomer shooter, but after 22 minutes, I still have not met a single enemy, or have not been given or fired a single weapon. Maybe if you like Half Life's style of storytelling, or story heavy games, you might like it. Also I've had some bugs where I was stuck on a wall. There's been no update to this early access title for more than a year, and apparently, there's no planned update for atleast the next few years as the developer has been arrested for, as per their own words, "a violent crime", and is now in prison for a few years. The game might get fixed then. Edit: And before someone tell me it's not far that I rate the game for not being what I expected: 1) The entire first 24 seconds of the trailer is full of combat and shooting 2) Last sentence of the steam description is: Sink or swim in this high-octane first-person shooter with immersive sim elements. 3) The third Tag is "Boomer Shooter".
