Detectives United: Origins Collector's Edition

I absolutely loved it! Made a nice cozy chicken soup and played all afternoon. Pretty good length. You get to play ALL 3 Characters! The side bar keeps achievements right nearby. Every puzzle and object use makes sense. There is actually a story here and some background. Puzzles are just the right challenge level. Really hope they make more like this!! Bravo!

I really like this type of game, but the mini challenges, in many cases, were difficult to understand. Generally, it's easy to figure out what you are supposed to do in order to beat a mini game. However, in this game at least half the challenges were impossible to understand just what to do. The guide showed you what was needed, but not the simple how to make it happen. I also wasn't a fan of player 3 characters. Not sure that added to the game. I have enjoyed some of the other games from this company, just not this one. I'm not playing to be frustrated with how to proceed.

As hinted by the title, three characters from different BigFish series unite their powers: Anna Gray from Grim Tales, Dorian Brown from Mystery Trackers, and James Blackthorne from Haunted Hotel. During the game, you will switch several times between them, in order to use their abilities, for instance Gray's time travel. You'll understand things better (e.g. what's the deal with the talking skull) if you've played a couple of games from those series, but it can be enjoyed even if you didn't. The game is not outstanding, but overall it is okay. Unfortunately, they wanted to shoehorn too many different things related to the three characters into the story, and the result is a very disjointed experience. The gameplay isn't great either; as with the other Elephant games, it is mostly limited to finding small figurines, each one useful only to find the next figurine. As a saving grace, the graphics are nice, and the visual style is beautiful. The HOPs and minigames are good.

This is a very interesting and enjoyable adventure game.

Enjoyable game, works with linux, ubuntu

Excellent game. Like that the three main character from three different games are united here. Decent play length and lots of collectables and morphing objects. Story was well done. Well worth getting when on sale.

Nice Story. Riddles and HOGs not too difficult. Game crashed twice. I had to switch off the special effects for the bonus game then it worked. For a reduced Price it was fine.
