Department 42: The Mystery of the Nine

The puzzle parts I got to were pretty fun and interesting, but the actual hidden object part was not enjoyable at all. Most things blended together in one big mush instead of me scanning the sea of items. Even with the hint I knew I was never gonna see some items.

I like hidden object games, and a lot of Frogwares' other games (such as the Sherlock Holmes series). However, this was disappointing. The hidden object sections were poorly made, with artwork that's just not quite well-integrated, as well as some objects that aren't described in a way you can identify them (e.g., "Sigil of Earth" when you haven't seen what any sigils look like). The story is bland, and the actions you take to progress through the story don't have any relationship to the narrative. I had been hoping that Frogwares did a good job with this game, and I played it through to completion, but I just am really disappointed.

I got here because of a Sherlock game with horrible reviews. I wanted to see why people hated it so much. I kinda liked it. Then I found out this developer creates a lot of these games. They are pretty much the same. Weird how these have good reviews. I suppose it's because people know what they're getting I like this hidden object stuff. I hate it in my adventure games, but in this case the game is built around it. Anyway, it's good. i appreciate the devs

This could have been a great HOG but unfortunately has not aged well, or was designed for early touchscreens. I know steam has it listed as a 2022 game but it was actually released in 2009. This HOG actually has some great and sometimes more difficult mini puzzles to complete. These are not the standard HOG type of puzzles which was a welcome change. The first issue which let this game down are the lack of map navigation aids to assist with direction during the game. What I mean by this is sometimes it can be difficult to determine where to go and what to do. The second issue is the lack of right click during the game becomes cumbersome. For example to release an item from your hand you need to go to the bottom of the screen to bring up the inventory and then left click in an open space to release the item back to the inventory, as opposed to just right clicking to release the item back to inventory.

Protagonist who is definitely not drawn based on Natalie Portman saves the world from bunch of evil everyday objects. Can recommend.

[h1]Warehouse 13[/h1] Nun ja nicht ganz, aber wer diese Serie mag wird hier zu Hause sein. Es sind 9 Artefakte verschwunden, die wiedergefunden werden müssen. Jedes Artefakt ist einmalig und auch einmalig Tödlich. Mit Agent: 255BG5 Alice Wright geht es auf die Jagt. Es gibt 20 Versteckte Objekte und 20 Rätzel. Wen man nicht weiter weis gibt es eine Hilfe Funktion die sich wieder Auflädt mit der Zeit. Auch wenn ein Objekt nicht gefunden wird gibt es die Hilfe Funktion. Die Rätzel können übersprungen werden wen sie unerwünscht sind. Alles kann (Rätzel & Suchen) noch einmal nach dem frei Spielen einzeln wiederholt werden, die Auswahl erfolgt über das Menüpunkt Rätzel. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad steigt hier nur bei den Rätzeln an, die Suche bleibt gleich aufwändig. [h1]Fazit[/h1] Eine schöne kleine Knobelei um die Gehirnzellen mal wieder etwas auf trab zu bringen. Не погана гра на пошук предметів на пару вечорів. Порівняно з Secret Mission: The forgotten Island має кращий візуал, різноманіття рівнів та складніша.

It's an old school hidden object game. Nothing standout, but I enjoyed my time with it.
